I'll be there doing an Armada training game for Carlton and a full-size Armada battle with Christian. Woo! Armada!

I'm not sure if anyone else has heard about this yet, but Aaron who used to run all of the board game stuff for DT and some other people are opening up a new game store in town over on Meridian. It'll be interesting to see what kinds of crowds they can bring in with some of their scheduled game nights and events, especially if they can put some extra attention towards games that DTG doesn't really focus on (*cough* Armada *cough*). They're having their grand opening this Thursday on the 1st and I'm probably going to try to swing by to check out their space so perhaps I'll see some of you there :) http://pairodicegames.tcgplayerpro.com/

People are going to be salty whenever there's change and unfortunately this change was largely required by the legal department which makes it less fun. I can't give any details, but I can tell you that there is a lot of work going into the WDG fix patch and that the results look good from what I've seen behind the scenes (I'm on the Rules Clarification team).

I've got a 9th Age game set up with Carlton... I don't know that @Scipiano has a game yet though Jim. Maybe you can have a Sylvan Elf civil war and show him some moves.

Get enough beer in it at the OFCC and a Warhamster might mount anything (or just fall asleep under a table).

My 2 bits about the OFCC is that we should allow auxiliary lists on a per list basis with TO approval. The lists aren't balanced for tournament play, but as long as a second set of eyes is hitting them to make sure their power level isn't too askew, I think they should be encouraged. That's just the kind of the event that the OFCC is.

Is it still a thing that GW stores only let you play with GW models? Also would I get in trouble for playing 9th Age there?

There is also Option 3, which would be a modified Option 2, but the Teams could actually affect matchups to a degree. I believe you did matchups by hand last year, but if you use matchup software (or get me to do so), you can tell it to not match people up against teammates except as a last resort. This would make for a less competitive tournament as matchups would sometimes be a little messy if multiple teammates were close in rankings, but it would save folks coming from out of town *cough cough* from having to fight the folks they play on a regular basis and encourage a bit more of a mixup in matchups in that regard. You could probably also do this by hand, but it would be a little trickier maybe (or maybe not).

Anyone planning to make it down? I'd love to get a 9th Age game in or something else perhaps?

Funny story, I'm not going to be able to make it down this week so... Play lots of 9th Age without me!
