Quick question, I have the old IK book. Is that now completely superseded by the new book?

I just feel like if I showed up for a game, I could have no clue whatsoever about what I'm facing. Realize I started playing 40K when orks used bolters too. There just seems to be so many exceptions or new abilities outside of the normal rules. I guess I just like my games a bit simpler :)

I'm trying to see if anyone wants to meet tonight at WoW. I can be there about 5pm or so.

Getting ready to buy an 303 Enfield. However, starting to wonder if I should pick up a Yugo 98 instead while I have the opportunity. Granted, the Enfield seems like a rarity as well.

So I'm not a huge 40K player. I typically get in around a dozen games a year. That said, I do happen to own 6-7 armies/allies for the game. I have quite a bit invested into it. However, I am feeling very left behind. I have a hard bound eldar book at home....and now there is already a new one. I haven't finished building the models I bought for that book yet. Granted, again, I'm a very casual 40K player...but I do recall a time when I could pretty much bust out an army and head down to gamenight if I so desired. Now though, I'm not sure I'd have a clue as to what was going on. Heck with keeping up with the meta, I'm starting to wonder how to keep up with an army. Are the days of owning multiple armies gone? Has the pace of 40K accelerated so much that I should just concentrate on a select few? Or maybe I'm just getting old. :)

So how does the campaign work? Do we field 140pts in a game? or only 70? To lazy to read the rules. :)

I think it is the DDRC that holds M1 Garand certification classes. Fairly cheap, and then you can enter a match to actually shoot the guns (they have loaners). Once certified, you can then order Garands from the CMP. Would be fun just to learn and shoot the Garand. Would have to sell quite a bit more in order to afford one though.

Okay, so I figured out the barrel was not updated, it just had the round front sight put on instead of the single blade (barleycorn). It has been counterbored though. On the lookout for a M39. Been debating back and forth if I should try to get a PU, but those are so pricey now it really isn't worth it.

Just got a 1922 Izhevsk hex receiver, 1891 Mosin Nagant. This was a Finnish capture rifle. It seems they updated it to a 91/30 barrel due to the updated sight on it. In seven years, this gun will be 100 years old. Will get to shoot it in a couple of weeks. Very excited. It is a beast.

I only need the topper actually. We'll work it out.

I could give it a good home...how much?

Anyone know of shops around portland where I can find ammo and accessories for historical guns. About to pick up my first Mosin and need a few things for it.

So wait, you were having great success running the evade imperials...but then the rebels figured out a counter....and now the game is not fun anymore? Suck it up and find a counter to the rebel stress lists. Once you do that enough, they will stop bringing them to counter your new meta. BTW, I don't play X-Wing and it is exactly for this reason. I don't have time to figure out metas and adjust my play for them. Bleah. I wanna go "pew pew pew" and have fun. Maybe just avoid tournaments?
