If you don't mind a slightly larger scale Anima Tactics has some pretty good models that could work....all depends if you don't mind her being more of a "goddess" size than typical human size...

So I'm looking to get a fairly basic airbrush to go along with my setup. I already have a nice detailed brush, so this one is going to be used to do basecoats and the like. Due to the fact that I have an Amazon gift card and they have pretty darn good prices, I was going to get it from there. I found one that has a trigger setup. Figured we had all of these "last movie/book/song/yadda yadda yadda" threads, and then realized we didn't have one about model kits. So maybe some nice mod will sticky this. First entry, 40K Tau Pathfinder box. Price $35 Inside - a unit of 10 pathfiders, with all of the weapon options, plus three drones (all of the special ones). Contents for $$ = 5/5 This is a great box. For the money, you get a complete squad, with every weapon option currently available to them, plus can make three drones of the non-standard gun drone type. Plus, if you have extra drone tops, you can make all of them. Look of the models = 4/5 these guys are pretty good. No more than two of any leg set, and two sets are completely unique. Lots of bits to add too and some interesting extras to make your unit leaders stand out. Ease of Assembly = 5/5 this is the first kit from GW where two gun arms go together and it fits perfectly! I was amazed. I have fought constantly with GW kits where the two arms need to line up. Normally there is one and only one placement that works. Well this kit had the gun placements much more flexible, and they still fit together. Why GW can't make more kits like this, I don't know...but it was a joy to assemble. Overall = 5/5 This is one set every Tau player should have, if not multiples of. I have some broadsides and a riptide to assemble next, and I'm hoping that the Tau continue to impress.

New question. Crew. So they are rated for a specific vehicle? or a class of vehicle? So if I have a light tank crew, I can put them in any light tank and they will be okay? I think I currently have four light tanks in my garage, so just wanted to know if I should sell and consolidate crew. Also, does the crew go away when you sell a vehicle? I had the first german arty tank, but sold it when I could get the wespe...but now I don't really know what happened to the crew of that vehicle...but the wespe is a higher class anyways..so I assume the crew would have to retrain in it right?

Tell me more. I haven't bought this kit yet, but was hoping to in the future.

Well, if my tanks had upgrades on them other than what is in the trees, I could see that, but they don't. There is nothing on my tanks other than what is in the trees (simply too expensive to buy any of those other upgrades). Hmmm so if I drop down the radio size, then maybe I can fit the upgraded turret? Maybe I'll give that a try. Right now I just run down my tanks and play a game, get killed, hop to the next tank, rinse and repeat. I am having fun at times, but I have to say it is equally frustrating to get killed right away with no idea on how.

Right now I'm working through the German trees to try to get vehicles I'm interested in. That seems to be the hardest part for me right now. I have to grind vehicles I don't enjoy (marder II) to earn a vehicle that I hope will be better. I wish the skill tree was more accurate as well. I hate unlocking something, and then finding out I can't equip it because I need some other upgrade first. Seems pretty stupid that a required upgrade is not in that advancement line. I also don't get why Elite vehicles don't let you unlock other tanks. I doubt I'll ever get above Tier 4. The grind required to get there just seems so long. They need to add Italian vehicles though.

This game has way too many rules that aren't covered on the web site. Most of my vehicles have three crew. So does that mean I can hire two more guys on some of my tanks so that they perform better?

Is there a way to increase reload speed? Because right now, my TD sucks so much balls because it takes too damn long to reload, and it isn't doing enough damage on the first hit. My little panzer jager does a great job...but my marder II just sucks in comparison.

So can you explain the elite tanks? I have a few, and they don't seem to have any enhancements that can happen. What is their purpose?

I'm sorry, it is just dumb. I am sitting there watching a tank, about to take a shot at it, and then it disappears. So I shoot where it was, and maybe I get a hit, maybe not, but soon after I'm always dead. So apparently it didin't matter that I was stopped and behind a bush. Somehow they saw me just fine. magical sight mechanics are just annoying. All the time I get killed lying in wait, there's no red blip on my screen. Killed by another invisible tank. yay.
