  1. True fact? That's great! Who won? How'd it go?
  2. Gage! I'm 99% sure that Sherbert's toy car game (in which you also were going to participate) starts tomorrow. If that's the case, we should smash Matchbox cars together. Otherwise, you're on!
  3. Here's hoping list-building is simple enough that I can put it off until Tuesday afternoon!
  4. Well, a slew of kid-related commitments suggest that my weekends are not my own. I painted things to have an updated Eldar army, but it looks like you will all be spared the wrath of my Ynnari. Have fun, gents!
  5. What with it being as close as it gets to a high holy day in my family, I'll be taking the kids trick or treating and telling ghost stories in front of the fire. With brandy.
  6. Except for the Firestorm. Even the Forge World index didn't give me rules on that. :(
  7. Got some more Eldar painted in anticipation of maybe going!
  8. I'm out this week - I'll be cheering on my eldest at the middle school track and field finals!
  9. Back in the day, in Warhammer Fantasy, you could take a unit with wings off the board and say it was flying high. Next turn, it could charge anywhere, as it dive-bombed from the sky. The thing is, enemy models flying high, could charge other models flying high. Kind of like the sky was one big second battlefield that only folks with wings could reach. I guess, what I'm saying, is that the teleportation chamber combat idea isn't too far gone, provided you just assume that everyone is just really, really high. Flying high, of course.
  10. Thanks! Better to see them on someone's table than in my garage, though!
  11. Resserectionists Using Warstore prices, the current (unassembled, unpainted) models would cost over $300, not including Seamus’s Avatar of Dread (going for $100+ unpainted on eBay) or the two Nightmare Edition models (Lady J and the Judge), the laser-cut markers, or the Ressurectionist Lab terrain. These are assembled, mostly OOP metals, painted to a high quality. I’m asking $900, domestic shipping included. I’ll also throw in a laser-cut turn/soulstone counter and a bunch of tokens and status effect basehuggers. 12. I’ve decided that, given that I’ve played one game of Malifaux 2e when it was first released and haven’t touched it since, It’s likely time to send my Malifaux crews to a new home. I thought I’d try Ordo for a bit before going to eBay. Unless otherwise stated, these are the classic, original metal Malifaux models. They are lovingly painted in a very distinctive, eye-catching style. They tend to do exceedingly well in tournament scoring for best painted. I’m not willing to paint additional models, but I’m more than happy to provide the specific paint “recipes” that were used for the models, and to give some friendly advice on how to capture the style if you’re wanting to commission more models in a similar style from someone else. A word on pricing – these models are mostly OOP metal models that have been lovingly painted to a high standard. I’m not really looking for a trade. At this point I won’t split up painted crews. Dreamer Crew Using Warstore discounted prices, these models would be about $130 in the current (unassembled, unpainted) plastics. These are assembled OOP metals, painted to a high quality. I’m asking $300, domestic shipping included. I also believe I have some of the additional base inserts I used to toss in (sculpted by yours trulty, cast by Black Cat). The full album is here: https://imgur.com/a/7IWrq 2 x Teddy Lord Chompy Bits Lilitu Lelu 2 x Stitched Togethers Collidi Insidious Madness alternative model Insidious Madness (I think it is an old metal D&D aberration of some sort?) 3 x Daydreams Dreamer 3 Primed Alps 2 Unpainted Headless Alps (with no heads – spooky!)
  13. I like cheaper Shining spears, and Ynnari =/= Craftworld makes good horse sense. The -1 to hit outside of 12" for everything is a bit disappointing if true. Certainly, the Raven Guard can put some camo netting on a Rhino.
  14. The same is true for Raven Guard - only infantry and dreads. I suspect there will be similar restrictions regarding who has the rule for Eldar. I wonder how Ynnari will interact with these? Can Eldar be from a craftworld and be Ynnari? Or will they lose the craftworld rules when they join the (space)elven god of the dead?
  15. Re: Fire Prisms - thank the gods! I love the models, and field them even though their one shot a turn is pretty lackluster. Two shots a turn when moving under half speed is going to be very welcome! I wonder how much more mileage they are going to get out of that -1 to hit at over 12", though! I used to think my raven Guard were special, but Alpha Legion, Alaitoc, ... Oh well. It's a cool special rule that changes the playstyle on both sides.
  16. I'm interested to find out what they did with jetbikes tomorrow. It seems that, without access to jetbikes-as-troops, a Saim-Hann army isn't really possible. Edit : Nevermind that. With outrider detachments it's absolutely possible!
  17. I haven't seen anything new yet either but .... would that be a GW 1st? A new codex without any new models to sell?
  18. Anyone have any insight into whether we might see a new Shining Spears kit?
