  1. Orks can count their squad size or another squad close by size as their LD so the insane is more of a threat as well. Fluger has it right people know it could happen and if they make them less than 10 just keep hitting them to full wipe. Another CP saver if around 5 models can be the warboss bashing heads. iirc d3 slain models can be used to pass the test. Even more incentive for the ork opponent to completely wipe the squad.

  4. Watch out for morale checks... they can and will hurt when taking bigger squads of multi wound models. Get cheap inquisitors asap.
  5. You can surround just a single non flying model... remember after the charge phase (2d6) you get 3" pile in, swing, then 3" consolidation... You can go anywhere a base fits and just stay like 1/4 away then swing around behind a model base to base... you just have to end both of those 3" moves closer to the enemy not directly towards by the most direct route. Use that assault speed to penetrate the enemy lines and trap them in that shooting protection known as ongoing combat while ensuring you can't be counter trapped to fall back and charge... it will be your advanced level play.

  7. While fast shot looks like the winner on paper it relies on your enemy giving you two fighters to target from one spot. A savvy opponent will not let you often enough... Hipshooter keeps you surprisingly mobile and suppression lasers are auto reloading shotguns! Give that guy a shield (it is a melee weapon!) and you have a strong breacher. Up the WS, yes WS, and tank those charges use knockback don't follow and blast em point blank! Good in both terrain types. Another option double plasma pistol gun fighter lets you target two different fighters with a single action far more efficient action use. You start with a 2+ so even at max range you hit like everybody else. Lets you move and double shoot or stand up from pin and double shoot. So much better than fast shot...
  8. I thought the +1 was just to hit and would therefore apply to both shooting and combat... did I misread the rule? Yay 3+ "ork" shooting
  9. Figure both full squads (+1 to hit) and min squads. The big squads would be eliminated quicker due to morale but might kill more...

  11. I'd be tempted to cut tank busta bombs and the index big mek to fit another weird boy for mortal wounds... you could convert that mek to have a fancy toy that counts as the powers.
  12. You need heavy bolters for the hell fire shell stratagem! Love that one so much...
  13. Fyi I'm not targeting the grots separately I'm targeting them as part of the single unit that is the gun...I don't think the comma makes a difference.
  14. Also you only ignore using the grot los to shoot... when your enemy shoots back they can shoot the grots which would wound the gun due to the rest of the rule...

  17. I'd prefer them be armed with 2 bolt storm gauntlets and the profile/points be half of the stat line provided. Then the model is armed as it appears! I hate multiples counting as one...

  19. They have a single set of auto bolt storm gauntlets, if you look the weapon profile is plural as well. Some other weapons look like multiples are referred to as plural but have a single stat line that takes into account all the barrels...
  20. If you do an arbitrator type mission on a given day (Saturday), need an extra who knows the game but doesn't have a personal interest, and give me a couch to ride I could help out.

  22. Funny enough it is by detachment not army for the slot free status... so you could with two detachments split celestine from her geminae and they'd take up slots even in the same army.
