  1. March to War lists are due tonight (Friday 2/28) by midnight! Get them in people!
  2. Hey all! Just a friendly reminder that lists are due in less than a week! Please submit them to: andrewgeddon@gmail.com
  3. I would offer up my place, but my kid goes to bed at like 8, so it wouldn't be super ideal for you guys (super small house, bathroom is right next to his room too). BUT, if you don't have a place to stay when we get closer to the event, I'm happy to offer you guys my couch πŸ™‚
  4. I'm also on a delayed response, sorry Ben! I'll most likely have to miss out on Saturday, as I'm probably playing Sunday for the escalation league. Welcome to Portland! My availability sucks during the week, due to work / kid, but I think a few of us will be a the WoW clubhouse this weekend (Sunday) for escalation league games, if you were looking to pop in and say hello!
  5. Actually not going to be able to make it tomorrow, have valentine's day plans with the Mrs. But I'll try to put a list together of what all I have πŸ™‚
  6. Anyone interested in a good chunk of miniatures from Red Box games? I've got a collection I got from a friend, but now looking to move it and not super familiar with the range.
  7. I think I cleared out all of my DA stuff, but I'll double check.
  8. What is the "Human League," out of curiosity?
  9. For once, I won't be showing up to sell at one of these! Have purged pretty much everything worth purging, save for some random GoT LCG cards. I will try to show up to take a look though!
  10. One of the things I really DO like about 8th ed Space Marines (and CSM) is the bringing back of Chapter Tactics. I could totally see doing something like that for a 5th Ed redux, where taking a chapter like White Scars unlocks Bikers as troops, or taking Iron Warriors gives you an extra heavy support slot, etc.
  11. The Warhammer 40,0000: 5th Edition Redux team is always looking for more codices writers! If this was a real project, bringing in some of the newer codicies (Deathwatch, Sisters, Custodes, etc) in line with 5th ed rules and stats would definitely be a long-term goal.
  12. Hello all! So a few quick March to War announcements: - I have made a change to to the tournament packet: The 5 points awarded for submitting your army list by the deadline will no longer be Battle Points, but instead will count just towards your "Best Overall" score. This was done at the request of the 9th Age North American Masters Committee, in order to comply with their ranking system, as it is based off of Battle Points. - I am potentially looking for someone to act as a "ringer" for the event, in the case that we end up with an uneven number of players on either day. My hope is to focus solely on running the event, and I would like to avoid having to issue people "byes". Happy to provide an army, drinks, lunch both days, and a something as a "thank you!" Ideally the person would be on hand, but it's possible that them being "on call" would be sufficient πŸ™‚. -And last but not least... we broke 30 players! Only 5 guaranteed spots left, grab them while you can!
  13. Mail day! A few donations for the cause πŸ™‚
  14. Also would possibly interested in regular Mordheim, depending on the frequency of games. As a note, I am thinking of running a super casual Mordheim league using the expanded campaign rules after the 9th Age campaign wraps up, probably sometime after March?
  15. So these are my ideas for rules adjustments for the main rules: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GjNwCRth9kMZ3iFeCclh3McPWA-BztT7y8rF6MRHWhU/edit?usp=sharing -Premeasuring allowed -All cover saves a flat 5++ -Instant Death replaced with β€œOverwhelming Force,” does D3 wounds instead. -Assault = 2d6, difficult terrain = 2d6 - 2” (or 3d6, drop the highest?) -Wound allocation per 8th edition rules. -Force Weapons do 2 wounds each instead of Instant Death when activated -Deep Strike Mishap Table: 1: Terrible accident 2-3: Misplaced 4+: Delayed I'm personally a proponent of toning down the Deep Strike mishap table, and of even removing the "terrible accident" result all together, but I understand it *is* thematic, even if it can lead to some awful play experience. As far the vehicles, I don't think you can give them 360 line of sight without taking something away, and I'm not sure what that would be. Maybe just drop Rhinos' AV by a pip would balance them enough? I also think "Fearless" could do with an adjustment, so moral actually matters, but again, not sure what that looks like. Maybe Fearless gives you a re-roll to moral? Or you don't suffer negative modifiers to moral checks from casualties? Maybe you're immune to Sweeping Advances?
  16. Gotcha! Are you a proponent of the current AP system then? I agree it's a lot cleaner than 5th's.
  17. Isn't that how it worked in 5th ed anyway? Take whichever save is better? An yeah, I do like the 5+ cover save; Still a good thing to have if you're wearing paper armor, but makes the game less about running from cover to cover.
  18. You know, I totally forgot that premeasuring wasn't a thing in 5th. Rose colored glasses and all that, I suppose. I am personally a big proponent of premeasuring, I would think that including it wouldn't effect the rules too much, besides the need for random charges.
  19. I think the Bretonnian warband rules are fun, even if they aren't official. I might be trying to put together a Mordheim campaign after the 9th Age campaign finished, could definitely use some brave Bretonnian knights... 😎
  20. Let me just settle this: Best city in the Old World was hit by a comet.
  21. It's from that one version of 40K where you only had to own 2 books to play 😎
