  1. I would never play with these rules, but I certainly don't disparage anyone for wanting to. Just seems like a weird release, not really sure who this is for? Was anyone telling GW that they wanted to lug around a bunch of terrain in addition to their army?
  2. Not pining over anything; They are cool models that are currently "alive-alive-alive" in the CoS battletome. I think Cities of Sigmar is really interesting, I just wish the Elves / Aelfs had representation in the Warcry roster.
  3. Seems a real shame not to include Corsairs, or any of the HE stuff. Shadow Warriors look perfect (astetics wise) for a skirmish style game.
  4. Hello! So as for game size, the standard game size is 4,500 points. Now that sounds like a lot, but points in 9th are roughly double what they were for 8th edition, so it's about the equivalent of playing a 2250 point game in 8th edition. As far as what army to play, it really comes down to what you want to play; The power levels of armies don't vary as wildly as they did in 8th; army books are a lot closer together in how well they can preform on the tabletop.
  5. Just rearranging my core. 30 Dryads and 22 Archers turns into 27 Dryads, 15 Forest Guard, and 2x5 Heath Hunters.
  6. Appreciate the heads up! I'm very much still on the hunt, but mostly looking for stuff that will match units that I currently already have. I will keep these in mind though!
  7. Well, it's been a while! Between OFCC being canceled and the release of 40K 9th Ed, I pretty much let this army flounder. I've recently recaptured the spark though and am slowing plugging away of the Sylvan Elves. Don't worry, evil snail dwarves will be back on the menu soon! Recently magnetized the entire army (that is, until I re-wrote my list and added in 15 Forest Guard which need to get done). Always satisfying to do the flip test, especially with metal models. Blade Dancer BSB made out of extra sorceress (?) model! ...and currently working on putting together my Forest Prince (Princess, rather) and a Dragon. Love this model, but man is it a pain to work with. More progress coming soon. Give a hoot, don't pollute!
  8. Thanks for the Mordheim everyone, was great to meet you formally @Damunky, @Ish!
  9. Woo, thank you! Looks like I'm all set 🙂
  10. Hello all! So I'm looking for the Ghoul King from the Terrorgeist kit for a Mordheim project. More accurately, I need the arms and head for one, as I have the body and legs but those other important appendages have gone missing. I'll be at WoW on Sunday, happy to give you some cash!
  11. Totally agree, they seem fine, similar enough to the Treasure Hunters that it took me two times to notice the Rune and think "oh wow, do Treasure Hunters get runes?" List flavor definitely seem fun!
  12. So we're loosely going off the "official" list of warbands per the FAQ: All the ones in the printed rulebook Orc & Goblin warbands from the 2002 Annual Dwarf Treasure Hunter warbands from the 2002 Annual Ostlander warbands from the 2002 Annual Averlander warbands from the 2002 Annual Kislevite warbands from the 2002 Annual Beastmen warbands from Empire In Flames Carnival of Chaos warbands from Empire In Flames There is some wiggle room of course, if there is something you really want to play. I hate to say it based on what you have listed, but generally Elf warbands aren't allowed, since they are just super powerful outside of something like a Lustria setting. If you don't have anything else to play, I DO have a number of warbands I can loan out: Mercenaries Undead Beastmen Carnival of Chaos
  13. There is room! As far as it being a full fledged "campaign," it's hard to say for sure what it will look like with Covid and all, but we are trying to meet somewhat regularly. Original plan was every other week, but it could stretch to monthly games, at least until Covid dies down and things get more normal Only one hero!? Brave dwarves indeed! Not familiar with the Dwarf Rangers, but looks solid! As a heads up, we do plan to play with a few house rules, one of them being... all armor is half price! Enjoy some extra gold crowns!
  14. 3 of us are planning to come by to play some Mordheim if there's room 🙂
  15. Awesome, thanks! I ended up grabbing the Dryads I needed, but might be interested in some more, depending on the price 🙂
  16. Hello all! I'm looking for some older metal Wood Elves to fill out my army. I'm mostly after ~10 of the metal Dryads, and a few Glade Guard (and a bunch of extra shields, if you have them), as well as the below pictured Treeman. But if you have othet metals, I would certainly take a look!
  17. Yep, I've got one (it's in the Battle Sister Squad kit). PM me your address and I'll ship it out to you 🙂
  18. Let me check my sprues when I get home, chances are I have an extra 🙂
  19. Standard size game for 9th Age is 4500 points. Armies tend to be slightly smaller than a 2500 points WHFB 8th edition army, since the points for 9th Age have been roughly doubled from those of WHFB.
  20. I have the Oathmark Goblins, and I think they are really good for the price. Not quite as detailed as some other miniatures, but way less cartoony than GW and definitely more affordable. I've always thought Mantic's dwarves were the WORST.
  21. Hello! So as far as Dwarves go, I'll leave the real advice to some of our locals that actually play them ( @TheBeninator, @Jason), but my impression of the army from my limited research (and the one time I played them) is that there are an army that can do almost anything that you build the army towards, but you might struggle to have everything in the army, due to it's elite nature. They have some of the best combat characters in the game, scary blocks of troops, quality shooting, great magic defense (an the ability to have a good magic phase themselves)... you can certainly have a very well rounded army, or you can lean in hard into combat or shooting if that's a route you want to go. As far as 3D printed models, while I can't speak for everyone, I'd be willing to wager one of my armies (not the Ogres, take the Warriors!) that you'll never have anyone object to 3D printed models. I simply can't imagine a scenario that someone would (I certainly wouldn't). On the contrary, I think you would get a lot of praise for bringing an army that's not just a ported over Warhammer army.
  22. Can confirm; Sisters are definitely not cheap. Especially when you pay retail+ for Battle Sisters because GW is out of them...
  23. Are you just looking for "normal" movement trays? I found this lot of STL files, seems like it would have most sizes you might need 🙂. Not free, but pretty inexpensive https://txarlifactory.com/collections/movement-trays-stl/products/movement-trays-rectangular-bases
  24. Mordheim is definitely my favorite minis game of all time! I know there had been talk to getting something going for Mordheim among the 9th Age crew, but it's been put in hiatus, due to Covid. Hasn't stopped me from working on some models though.
