    So with my tax returns I got myself an iPad for me and my son to use. (Awesome deal on eBay.) Well I am really liking it a lot. So my question is have other players had any experience with them or other ePads on the market with their gaming. I know I have found a free app for my Army Builder to transfer lists on to for me to use. Also I am disappointed in the cost of the eArmy Books but does anyone own one or the core rule book. Just wondering if they would come even close to being worth their price.

    Trading? I don't bother with trading, I just take what I want. And as for Malekith he has been encouraging Dreadlords to scheme and backstab each other since the Sundering. As long as the competition weeds out the weak and doesn't effect his plans he enjoys it. Sleep well tonight, you 'should' wake up in the morning. ;) (I forsee myself getting a butt whooping sometime soon. :D)

    Hey Drak, I challenge you to a battle! And since I know your kid weekend falls on my kid weekend I believe the only excuse you have now is fear. Also haven't seen you in a while. Any new thoughts on a New army?

    Looking forward to this. Of course do I play DE to encourage painting them for OFCC or Empire just becuase? Hope the usual suspects play again with new players in the mix.

    These Knights will not be a stand alone and I don't think they will effect the Meta as much as the Ripetide did. They will be a Fun thing to run but if players are already dealing with Bladebanes and Ripetides these will be no harder.

    What is your over all opinion on the book? Better than the last or 'Meh'? I know it is early to make a final decision but what is your first impression? Edit: Sounds good and we may see more Dwarf players. Looking forward to seeing more info.

    If they are primary what would the Troop choice be? No scoring units without allies?

    Kid Week End. Won't be able to be there till 6. So I am not bringing an army unless someone wants to set up a game with me. Don't want to keep anyone from starting a game early just waiting for me.

    I also have characters too. Mind you these are my extra units so if you just need to mix and match I'd be cool with that. I also have a large DA army so don't need any really, sorry.

    I have a number of order models that you can choose from. I have the old plastic crossbow and 40 spearmen. I also have 40 finecast Black Guard, 20+ metal exicutioners, 2 min units of the older dark riders, 1 fine cast hydra and 1 metal hydra. I know it is not exaclty what you're looking for but if there is anyrhing that grabs your attention let me know.

    To bring it in a little the OP is not looking for a competitive list, he just wants to make it a challenge. So is 40 spider riders competetive? No, but it sounds like fun and would love to see that many spiders on the board. He can also run 10 wide no problem becuase those things ignore all building and forests. Movement will not be an issue. Chexmix, I say run that list a few times with your freind and see how it does. If you have issues come back here and maybe we can help tweek it.

    Also when his shaman cast Gift of the Spider God (I believe that's what it's called.) that Horde of goblins will be getting poisoned attacks, and I believe the spiders are also effected and get a 5+ poison. Nasty.

    My god, a horde formation that ignores all terrain.(with the exception of water nd fire.) Place them behind a building and just move over it. Rules question, if a large unit was behind a building but the flanks can see the enemy can the spider riders charge them?

    Duh..... Didn't realize the second was a mount. (my reading skills in the morni.g could use some work. So yes, you could bring three. That would be a fast nasty list but I would drop the Stone Throwers if you bring a third. God you could run a pincer with this army easlily.

    Have to check my book again but I believe you are limited to 2 Arachnarok in a normal game of Fantasy unless you play a grand army size. So I wouldn't bother with a third. If you wanted to stick to a theme you could take Savage Orcs Big Un's (Start with 20 for fun.) for a hammer and bring a Savage Orc Shaman instead of the lvl 2 goblin shaman. Having access to both lores and a shruken head is very handy and keeps those failed panic checks from making your whole army running away. Goblins have crap for leadership, you will want some orcs and Savages Orcs with the spider riders looks very themeatic.

    I think it is a icy surface to walk. I did leave other games be becuase the community became a nut bashing enviroment where a net list became a must to even think about playing. Then again limiting the community too much makes players feel like they are missing out on part of the game. This has been an issue since I started gaming and in about 10-12 different systems. Munkie I believe has it right and you should talk to your opponents about what kind of power level they want to play. Also I personally believe a higher skilled player should be taking more challenging armies and lists to see what kind of generals they are instead of taking the best net list out there becuase they know how to crunch the numbers. But I am a minority there.

    Damn. This was my weekend to show up at 4. Have my kid every other weekend till 5 Sundays. Being from Michigan I find this weather not so bad but understand if you didn't grow up in it it might seem like the end of the world. I will always laugh at Oregon's fear of snow in town but love driving through the mountains to go skiing. (And no, they don't have the roads cleared that often when it snows you just learn to deal with it.) Well I have my DE list ready and an idea for OFCC list. Just need to play and test it.

    It's not the size of the cannon it's how you use it.......... Ok, it's the size that counts. ;) Not a fan of mantic models. Something looks off about all the mantic fantasy stuff I have seen.

    Hmmm. Running a Dark Elf list and thought a Chimera would be themematic for my list 'BUT' I don't want to have to buy the Storm of Magic book to bring it either. Just getting a feel if it is worth my time trying to borrow a book from someone or not. Oterwise I have more than enough for a 3000 point list.

    So looking over the rule package I see Storm of Magic rules are allowed. Now my question is are the monsters? And if yes how is the Chimera? Been looking for its rules on Army Builder but it doesn't list any of the monsters. Also no dice on the net either.

    I think we can all bombard him with ideas on Sunday. And If he is lucky he might meet someone with some spare models who could help him get started. Just saying.

    I have and played O&G army and to this day I have no idea why that rule is still there. O&G are not a powerhouse army that needs taming, good yes but not good enough to have this rule. Number of times I had my Shamans unit go agro and I lost my movement, magic, shooting and combat phase for my keystone unit. Truely is a game ender at times, and that is from playing both against and with them. The rest of the randomness is fine with me though. Even when that Mangler ends 1" in fornt of my target when I only had to move 5". :D
