  1. Added Tech marine with the aforementioned Kewl bolter and an Ironclad dreadnought with a hammer. Because I can make Hammertime references in-game. Also, everything has a flamer, melta variant or both!

  3. Looking for cool Grots and Snotlings. No rush, happy with cash or trade. I'm easy;) Thanks!
  4. Dibs on being Macho Man! Oooohhh yeaaahhhhHHH! Just realized I'm not really doubling down on Salamanders rules. Any ideas on switching the double twin-lascannons on the Mortis' to double multi-meltas? Cons: 1) Shorter range Pros: 1) Makin people do that cool dance they do when you set em on fire. 2) I'm bad at this game and I'll probably be walking these beasts up the board anyways.
  5. How's this look? Brayarth 3x double twin lascannons Mortis with Cyclone 3x Leviathan with Storm cannon, siege drill and Hunter Killer Plenty of ranged AT, tiny bit of AA shooting and melee. 3 Mortis sit in back and plink away, Brayarth and Leviathans slowly push up the board. Could also drop the Cyclones and Hunter Killers, pick up 5 sniper scouts. Doesn't really add much, just something for my opponents AA fire to shoot at. That said, I don't think I'm loosing much either. ++ Spearhead Detachment -3CP (Imperium - Adeptus Astartes - Salamanders) [95 PL, 2,000pts] ++ + Configuration + **Chapter Selection** . 6. Think it's better to run the Leviathans with double Storm canons or single storm and siege drill? Either way will look good modelwise so that's a wash. Double cannon gives some anti infantry shooting but zero melee capability in the list. Anti tank is covered by the double, twin lascannons and cyclone Mortis'.
  7. If only they made a game, real similar to 40k that focuses on Marine-on-Marine battles... 😉
  8. So sayeth the scriptures and writings put forth by the Ultramarines, the binary roll calls imprinted upon the holy reams carried by tech adepts of Mars and the holocordings stored by the High Lord's of Terra. Completely invalidated by my inner 12 year-old that says JUMP PACKS ARE AWESOME AND TOTALLY BLOOD ANGELS pew pew pew boom aaaah 😉
  9. Oooh! Can you paint them all as Doom Eagles and run heavy on jump troops?!? I will gladly help paint, wanted to do a Jump themed, Doom Ragle list forever. Now I can live vicariously through you!
  10. What's the description of the Psychic Husk on your "want" list? I'm in the shopping phase of a new conversion army so I'm looking at a lot of the smaller caster sites right now. Happy to keep an eye open, any other needs?
  11. I'm really not broken up by it, just surprised. I'll be perfectly ok with listening from my truck and avoiding her in person;) Really, I was mostly thrown off by how far my mental picture of this person was, from reality.
  12. Dumb question. So you have on the list an "Ork mega bits/job lot". Posted about 2 hours ago, not on your website. I know it says anything not on site has been sold, but am I just jumping the gun? Like is it already sold, or just not on the site yet? Thanks for the clarity!
  13. Montana spray paint company. Great colors with great coverage. Note that they are fully built and designed for graffiti/murals so using for minis is "off label". Gotta have your spray game on point, because the difference between no coverage-great color intensity-ohmyglobIruinedmymodels is suuuper small. But when they work, they're fantastic. Really intense.
  14. Dumb question. Is this something that would be appreciated/usable as a starter force for the clubhouse? I've always wanted to paint this set but have Zero need to start another army. Would be happy with $60 if it goes to a good home afterwards.
  15. Looking like at 2k I can bring a Salamanders Spearhead with: Brayarth Ashmantle 3x Contemptor Mortis 3x Relic Leviathan Now tinkering time. I can run the Mortis' as double twin lascannons, two with Cyclones. Leviathans as double storm thingy array. Pretty straightforward...or I can start tinkering. Really leaning into running all the Mortis the same and all the Leviathans the same as well. Will be all scratch built and/or kitbashed with non-GW stuff so I need the homogenized loadouts to make em easy to distinguish. But I'm also thinking it gives me no real melee. Maybe drop one storm array per Leviathan and go with the siege drill? Adds a melta and a couple hard hitting punches, loses 10 str7 shots, looks pretty cool though. Storm claw hits a little less hard, still has the melta, re-rolls wounds on infantry (but it's str8 so wounding infantry shouldn't be too hard) Thoughts?
  16. True story: Neighbor that lives across the street and two houses over from me is a badass violinist. She's super respectful about practice hours as well. Sometimes I'll have a rough day at work, pull up in front of my house and she'll be playing. I've sat in front of my home, sweaty and filthy, for 45 minutes before just to listen to her play. It's a beautiful thing and tough to describe. Finally met her today, this mythical figure that has lightened my load on many nights, the lady who has given me a wonderful gift when I needed it the most. Finally met this siren songstress face to face today and she's a nasty piece of human garbage. It's a crazy world out there folks, take care of each other. 😉
  17. More takeaways! I looove doing a prototype/proof of concept/ total playground to tinker on. When doing something like this where I'm planning on pulling out the stops, it's really freeing to have a piece to try stuff out on. Likes: The colors! Think I've drilled into the final palette. Going to really saturate them though. Tried to do a real light gradient, turned out ok. If I pour on the volume though they'll really pop. New plan. Spray everything in the safety orange. Stripe in the blue and pink just as heavy. Then I'll do a dark rust wash over the whole thing. To bring the neons back up, I'll hash and slash the bright neons back up over the washed panels. Disliked: I went too light on the color sprays, too desaturated I think. Possibly ok but I won't know till after wash and highlights. Words, words, words...pics!
  18. Pretty well set on the Ashmantle, Mortis & Leviathan build. Like Seven Samurai... only with homicidal goblins piloting murder-suits, fueled by psychotropic drugs and venoms pulled from every creepy crawler they could pry out from under a rock. Dumb question, where can I find rules and points? Not ready yet? Battlescribe update? GW app that's around the corner?
  19. Quick dry fit after drying. Liked: The pattern. Cut the colors down to 3, liked the way they blended and flow from mixed to solid in an almost organic manner. Disliked: Color choice, was shooting for obnoxious, landed on pastel Easter candy. Broke it back down, primed all white and resprayed in bubblegum pink, safety orange and neon sky blue. Will update with an assembled version of the new colors after dry and rebuilt. Easter candy version...
  20. *Moved over from 40k discussion thread* Got called out! Challenge accepted 😉 Found some inexpensive Not-Gundams from a line called 30 Minute Missions that seem to be a good base to build from. Built one to see how they go together and try out some paint schemes. These doods are cool! Right up there on fit and design with entry Gundams which is a high bar. Plan is to build them to the basic components (arms, legs, torso etc), throw all the pieces in a box, spray an obnoxious neon color, shake the box, spray a different neon, shake and repeat. Hoping it'll give a good psychedelic base to start from. Words, words, words...time for pics of tonight's progress! Built model Disassembled to smaller assemblies, lower arm, upper arm etc Put in some boxes, sprayed a fluro green from one direction, neon citrus from opposite direction. Shake the box, spray a pistachio green and stripe in a lavender
  21. Since this is a prototype I'm already finding things that I like and dislike. First thing I noticed, I'll be priming all the components white before the neon spray,-N-shake. The colors aren't popping yet. Will need em bright because I plan on doing heavy rust wash. Next thing is I'm really thinking a cross-hatch of the neons over the rust wash will probably look awesome but I'll have to try it out. Plan is to build as many different varieties of these lil mecha as I can, individually grottify each limb/torso and do the shakeNspray. Pull random arms and legs on build step so they all have mismatched limbs.
