  1. Ugh, I don't think I've ever enjoyed a light beer. To each their own I guess lol.
  2. Erm yeah I'll definitely be bringing my own beer. Between my brother and I we have like 8 growlers, lol.
  3. I'd be down! This is right up my alley.
  4. Where would I get 40 points for 2 drones, though? I think my only option is to cut a Crisis Suit. I guess I don't need 3 suits in the Missile Pod unit? Come to think of it, I don't really need that unit at all!
  5. A bunch of Tau stuff just fell into my lap, and I've always been fascinated by The Eight. As I already have enough tournament armies this force will be for more laid-back/casual/OFCC style play. I just don't want to get tabled every game. Here's my first draft: Farsight Enclaves - The Eight - Warzone Damocles: Mont'ka Commander Farsight 165 -Crisis Battlesuit, Plasma Rifle, Dawn Blade, Shield Generator O’Vesa 305 -Riptide Battlesuit, Ion Accelerator, Twin-Linked Fusion Blaster, Stimulant Injector, Early Warning Override, Earth Caste Pilot Array, 2 Shielded Missile Drones Commander Bravestorm 199 -Iridium Battlesuit, Plasma Rifle, Flamer, Stimulant Injector, Shield Generator, Onager Gauntlet, 2 Gun Drones Commander Brightsword 200 -Crisis Battlesuit, Twin-Linked Fusion Blaster, Advanced Targeting System, Stimulant Injector, Fusion Blades, Shield Drone, Warscaper Drone Shas’O Sha’vastos 174 -Crisis Battlesuit, Plasma Rifle, Flamer, Shield Generator, Vectored Retro-Thrusters, Puretide Engram Neurochip, 2 Gun Drones Shas’O Arra’kon 169 -Crisis Battlesuit, Plasma Rifle, Cyclic Ion Blaster, Airbursting Fragmentation Projector, Counterfire Defense System, Repulsor Impact Field, 2 Gun Drones Shas’vre Ob’lotai 9-0 128 -Broadside Battlesuit, Twin-Linked High Yield Missile Pod, Twin-Linked Smart Missile System, Velocity Tracker, Seeker Missile, 2 Missile Drones Sub-Commander Torchstar 154 -Crisis Battlesuit, 2 Flamers, Target Lock, Multi-Spectrum Sensor Suite, Neuroweb System Jammer, Drone Controller, 2 Marker Drones Tau Empire - Allied Detachment - Codex: Tau Empire Commander Shadowsun 135 XV8 Crisis Bodyguard Team 161 -2 with Twin-Linked Fusion Blaster, 1 with 2 Flamers and Command & Control Node Crisis Team 156 -3 with 2 Missile Pods Fire Warrior Team 54 -6 with Pulse Rifles 2,000 I've listed each character's equipment for reference. The idea is that most of the character suits join Shadowsun and her Bodyguard team, enabling all Independent Characters in the unit to automatically pass Look Out Sir! rolls. They'll probably deep strike, leaving O'Vesa and Ob'lotai on the ground with the Missile Pod suits and the Fire Warriors. Should I take Shadowsun's 20 point, 3+ invulnerable shield drones to soak wounds? I'd love to see some shield drones in that unit but I'm not sure where I'd get the points. Any suggestions are welcome!
  6. I prefer base-to-base. The first few games of AoS I played used model-to-model and I didn't like it much as almost all of my Fantasy stuff is old models that (in some cases) are half the size of their modern counterparts. Measuring from base-to-base makes the game smoother and easier in my opinion.
  7. Even if these were available for non-apple devices I still wouldn't buy them. I buy physical copies of all my books and download the PDFs for free.
  8. It works, I did it several times on PS4. I wanted to increase my Charisma for settlement purposes without sacrificing my character's other perks.
  9. Apparently I've been underpaying then.
  10. Looks like the Baneblade went up by 100 points Did anyone feel it was undercosted in Escalation? I sure didn't.
  11. Yes, Sammy is right. I've been collecting power armor frames and store them without the fusion core - I've never had a suit "borrowed" by an NPC as a result!
  12. I was at that tournament. I wasn't too happy about the results. I think I was one of the 3-0 players (I know several went undefeated).
  13. I guess that doesn't bother me too much. I normally use the 30 man infantry blob to screen my Baneblade anyway. They don't move a whole lot.
  14. I really like these new formations. They don't seem crazy overpowered but they definitely give AM a bit of a boost. My army fits nicely into a Cadian Battle Group Detachment: Command: Battle Croup Command (CCS) Core: Emperor's Fist Armored Company (5 Leman Russ (2 in the Tank Commander squad) and an Enginseer) Auxillary: Emperor's Shield Infantry Platoon (PCS, 3 Infantry Squads, 2 Heavy Weapon Squads, 3 Scout Sentinels) Auxillary: Super-Heavy Support Element (Baneblade) This is what I normally take in 2,000 point games, give or take 2 Leman Russ and the Enginseer. It's nice to see that my 6th ed army is simply more powerful now thanks to the formation rules.
  15. I've been very happy with my Culexus, who is always delivered via Drop Pod or Vendetta. Even if you don't have a Drop Pod army I'd still recommend putting the Culexus in one if it's your only option available. Infiltrate doesn't get you close enough in my opinion. I wouldn't say the Culexus is a requirement or even a "no-brainer" for competitive play but it does provide a great answer to psychic power-based deathstars and Invisibility shenanigans.
  16. I bought 5 books for $5 each and shipping was $18. Still works out to be about $8 per book, which isn't bad at all.
  17. Yeah I was about to buy a whole set of deatwatch books but that shipping cost made me reconsider. I know that's close to the actual cost of shipping books through UPS, but it's a lot for something that I was only picking up for the price. EDIT: Wound up spending $40 on 5 Deathwatch books anyway, lol.
  18. I like your Genestealer formation, Fluger. It's time for Stealers to be good again! I'd like to see Imperial Guard (Astra Militarum or whatever) get some love. An infantry formation would be really cool. Something that makes Heavy Weapon Squads worth taking would be welcomed.
  19. I really love PC gaming but this time around I'm glad I'm playing on a PS4... No problems at all! (No console commands though )
  20. Yes, I paint straight from the pot. I never do any mixing or wetblending - too fancy for me. Getting out a palette and dropping paint is more inconvenient to me than just dipping my brush in the bottle.
  21. I don't have any problems with the menu system, it seems fine to me. It might be a driver issue and not necessarily a hardware issue?
  22. I use GW paints because they aren't in dropper bottles. I despise dropper bottles. I guess I'm in the minority?
