  1. I got in a good 4 hours of play last night. It's a very good looking game. I didn't find any bugs or have any problems yet. I probably spent half of my time modifying guns! Erm, what is "poopsock"?
  2. Mad Max: Fury Road - 7/10. I liked the story but I wish there was more of it, and more dialogue. The action scenes were great and the acting was top notch. Devil's Advocate (on Netflix) - 7/10. Definitely worth a watch if you don't mind Keanu Reeves. Good story and suspense made this a pretty entertaining watch.
  3. I use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (free version) in tandem with Spybot Search & Destroy (free version), Between the two they have cleaned up anything I've ever encountered.
  4. Azyr has been great for my small group of players. It seems to be pretty balanced.
  5. I'm not taking any time off work to play this game, though I really want to. I've played every Bethesda game since Morrowind and have pretty high expectations for this title. Totally maxing out Perception and Agility for a stealth/sniper style of play. That's how I got through New Vegas. It's pretty challenging but very fun. The only other build I've had more fun with was my melee/explosives character...
  6. I looked and didn't see another thread about Fallout 4. This is surprising to me. Who else is excited to get this game? I have my copy preordered for PS4 as my PC can't do it justice.
  7. Well you only have 3 teammates, so wouldn't that only take you to round 4? This would be great. Best of both worlds. You run out of unique teammates after 3 games anyway. I vote for 3 doubles and 2 singles games.
  8. This would be so cool. Maybe with some modifications so you don't play with the same person all day due to rolling? Or maybe you change the person you played with every round?
  9. I'd totally play in a doubles OFCC. As mentioned above I think it will really encourage the "casual format" that OFCC is known for. Game times will be longer but that shouldn't be too big of a deal. Would scoring move from players individually to pairs of players? I do like the captain matchup system at OFCC, but I felt like I had to "throw someone under the bus" every round last year. There was always one matchup that was relatively unavoidable and neither player was super happy about it. Random pairings wouldn't eliminate this but they'd make me feel better about bad matchups, lol.
  10. That looks pretty solid to me! I'm not a fan of a hard model cap but I think it's the best way to handle something like this without using a comp system. Obviously 30 Chaos Knights will be better that 30 Skaven Clanrats though both meet the 30 model requirement. The hard model cap encourages players to take more powerful models - which I think is fine.
  11. Hey guys, looks like my brother (Ed Skewis) and I (Greg Skewis) can't make it to this tournament due family commitments. I know some people were on the "wait list" for this event so hopefully they can attend instead of us.
  12. An Olympia gamer is moving and needs to sell his models. Most of the stuff has sold already but High Elves, Tomb Kings, and Dwarfs remain. I think he has Deathwatch and Warhammer books too. He asked me to post this for him as he doesn't have an account on Ordo. For more info call Brad at (360) 688-1668.
  13. I think a Mighty Empires campaign would work very well with AoS. The terrain, army construction, and mission objectives could be based on what map tile a player is attacking (Castle, village, river, etc). I'd try to incorporate some sort of experience system for each player's General, allowing the player to invest in stat points (+1 to hit, +1 bravery, +1 save, etc). While this could create some broken characters it adds another layer of interest to keep players involved in the campaign. I've been thinking about this a great deal as I aim to start an AoS Mighty Empires campaign with my game group once my 40k Warbands campaign has run its course.
  14. This makes sense! All the games I've played have just been "kill your opponent". Objectives and wacky missions would really spice up the game I think. Thanks for the comp suggestions everyone, I'll try them out. I knew AoS doesn't have any internal balancing mechanism which is why I was asking about this. I assumed there'd be good 3rd party sources for this, and there are!
  15. These two words made me very happy. I'm fine with playing against other Oly players as I don't get many games in any more. I'm just happy to get 3 games of 40k at all!
  16. It is a great and fun casual game for sure. I've really enjoyed playing it so far. I've just found all of our games to be a bit one sided as some units are just really, really good. I guess "balance" doesn't matter if you aren't keeping track of who wins!
  17. I've dug up my old Fantasy models and played a few games of Age of Sigmar. I like the simplicity of it, and I think it's a great game to play over a few beers with friends. I'm having a bit of trouble with balance... Why would I take 30 Glade Guard over 30 Waywatchers, for example. My friends like to restrict the number of wounds in an army but I don't think that's a good way to do it at all. What size game do you guys normally play, and how to you attempt to balance forces? I've only played AoS with a few other people so I'd like to see how other playgroups are balancing the game.
  18. Fixed that for you. I'm not sure how accurate this information needs to be though.
  19. The link still doesn't work, unfortunately. I even took off the https:// manually. Do we need to be a member of a facebook group to view?
  20. There's no way I can get my Genestealers painted in time - I'll have to see what I have painted up this weekend and make an easy list.
