  1. Greetings Ordo! A friend of mine has a Khorne Daemonkin army that he is looking to trade or sell. All of the models are new and at least primed but he doesn't like the army's play style. He's a very new player and really wants to trade it for Necrons or Grey Knights but is entertaining other army swaps or cash offers. The lot consists of: (All models are the newest sculpts from the latest Khorne releases) 1 Bloodthirster (partially assembled, no primer or paint, new plastic kit) 1 Herald of Khorne (Finecast, painted) 5 Possessed (primed purple ) 10 Chaos Marines (primed red) 12 Berzerkers (primed red) 20 Dark Vengeance Cultists (primed black) 6 Dark Vengeance Chosen (primed red) 1 plastic Daemon Prince (painted) 2 Chaos Land Raiders (painted) 1 Dark Vengeance Helbrute (primed red) 1 Helbrute (primed red) 20 Bloodletters (painted) 3 Bloodcrushers (primed black) 5 Chaos Terminators (primed red) 1 Dark Vengeance CSM Character (painted) 1 Khorne Daemonkin Codex Send me a PM and I'll reply quickly. I can email or text an army pic right away, and can get detailed pics if requested. Not looking to break it up at this time. The army is located in Wenatchee but I'll be collecting it in two weeks and can meet someone in western WA/OR or shipping can be arranged. Thanks for looking!
  2. I have two Venoms, 10 Kabalite Warriors, an Archon, and 6 Scourges up for trade. I can send you pics if you provide an email address.
  3. Looks like a pretty fun army list to me. You won't have much to paint, that's for sure! This is gold.
  4. ...I guess I just don't have permission :/
  5. I was wondering this myself.
  6. I like 1,500 games the best, I think. Small games are really fun on occasion as are 4k slugfests, but I can't imagine 4k becoming the norm for pickup games. Two experienced players each with 4k points would take around 4 hours to resolve, I expect. Now that I think about it, a 4k points tournament would certainly be interesting. Using Titans and Apocalypse rules would make the games go much quicker. The biggest factor in game time is the number of players, in my experience - Apocalypse armies fielded by a single player wouldn't be so bad.
  7. I'll pay to have them shipped, that's not a big deal. I can send money via PayPal. Bellingham and Portland are both 2ish hours away, I'm in the middle it seems. $5 in postage is better than $40ish in gas and 4-5 hours of my time, lol. Let me know what you guys have and how much you want for them, or if there are any bits you are looking for. Thanks!
  8. I've recently acquired a large number of Wargames Factory Shock Troops that I would like to make 40k WYSIWYG. I need some Lasguns - about 50 of them. Loose Lasguns or ones attached to IG arms are fine. I don't need the left arm, just the weapon itself. I have tons of SM, SW, BA, and IG bits. Some Eldar and DE as well. I'm in the Olympia area so shipping may be required by Portland residents - I will cover the cost if a purchase is arranged (via PayPal). Let me know what you have, thanks!
  9. Pepperidge Farm remembers. I've honestly missed MSU style play. 5th has been my favorite edition of 40k so far, and anything that brings it back is okay in my book!
  10. I try to play by the book, but I rarely do as I forget quite a bit of rules. I almost always forget about mysterious terrain and to roll for night fighting. We do follow the rules for terrain placement and army construction. I don't use approximations for Vanguard and actually mark a line in the middle and measure 12" from it. Normally I just play Maelstrom Missions without rolling for it. I never impose restrictions on army composition. So I guess I'd say that I try to play by the rules-as-written, but I don't actually do it.
  11. People on this forum (myself included) are often on the lookout for older minis. I'm always willing to trade armies of current miniatures for armies of old miniatures if there is mutual interest. Trading your bucket of old models for a new, playable army is always a good way to go.
  12. I've actually started replacing all 60mm flying stand bases with standard 60mm bases just because of this. I had to special order 15 60mm bases from GW just to re-base my Eldar skimmers - it was driving me crazy! The beveled edges were totally worth ~$2 a base, lol.
  13. Agreed, it's almost impossible to read.
  14. I don't paint the clear plastic stands that attach to the flyer or skimmer but I do texture and base the bottoms, whether they are clear or not. The clear plastic bottoms always looked cheap and out of place to me. I do paint the clear plastic canopies on Valkyries and Wave Serpents, etc... As Splinx guessed, it's because I'm lazy and don't want to paint the cockpit and pilot(s) lol. I never paint them the same color as the hull, though - it's always a contrasting color that I use throughout the army.
  15. I base everything in a given army the same way: snow, desert, swamp, etc. If I plan on allying a force to one of my armies I base the ally force the same as well. I like consistency. Characters and bigger bases (flyers, dreadnoughts, etc.) get some additional stuff to fill out the base (rocks or other bits). To keep the army consistent I also put some of these extra embellishments on every 10th 25mm infantry base or so. I always texture and paint my skimmer bases - again, for consistency.
  16. I'll take 'em all if you want! I collect old Warhammer books.
  17. Same with the Ork Stompa and the Necron Tesseract Vault/Transcendant C'Tan, thanks to the 7th ed Codices. I expect the next IG (or AM, whatever it is) codex to include at least two Baneblade variants.
  18. This is incredibly sound logic. I agree with Chappy, I think this list is a solid 2. It's not weaksauce (mostly because of the superheavy), but it definitely isn't a 3. I would be very happy if all of my OFCC games were against lists like this.
  19. I really want Hunter-Killers to be good, but they really aren't. I think they are passable on an outflanking unit as they will always get to fire before getting destroyed, but they really shouldn't be 10 points each.
  20. Well as we are all from different cities we can't be considered an Olympia team (though I think we all have roots there). Oh well, Khorne cares not from where the beer flows... so long as it flows
  21. What condition do the Pulse Lasers need to be in? I think I have two, but they are poorly painted. I'll have to take a look.
  22. I've already glued the Autocannons and Hunter-Killer Missiles, so it looks like they will be staying lol. They'll be included in my OFCC list so I can see how truly terrible they are! Alpha striking from a flank is the main goal of these guys. The unit is only 150 points and has a ton of reach, so I expect them to (hopefully) kill something the turn they arrive then either die a glorious death or hide and try to snag an objective.
  23. Greetings all, I've just finished cleaning up and assembling my unit of three Scout Sentinels that I've recently acquired. Now that they have proper Valhallan pilots the time has come to choose their weapons! I have everything I need to give them Autocannons and Hunter-Killer Missiles, which is the route I think I'm going to go. They can then outflank and hit some juicy side armor with 6 S7 and 3 S8 shots... Then they can die to Bolter fire. My question is this - How do YOU like to equip and use Scout Sentinels? Do you outflank them with Autocannons as I will? Do you scout them forward with Heavy Flamers? I'm interested to see other people's opinions, as this is a unit I rarely see on the tabletop.
  24. Team KILL! MAIM! BEER! is all paid up now.
