  1. I have a Tyranid army consisting mostly of 2nd edition models and I've never had any issues with it. 2nd ed Hive Tyrants are about half the size of their modern couterparts but I just play everything as-is with regards to true line of sight.
  2. He also used the wrong "you're" :/ A 50 point handicap is pretty significant. I always add mine up in a spreadsheet before printing. I trust Excel formulas much more than Battlescribe, lol.

  4. So the Stompa and Tesseract Vault are allowed (both are in their respective codex), but Escalation superheavies such as the Baneblade are not? Just looking for some clarification here.

  9. I do have about 15 Knights laying around, and I was considering adding them. Cutting some Handgunners wouldn't be a big deal. Id there a recommended configuration for a unit of 13-15? I can make room for a character, standard, etc. Maybe a BSB in the unit?

  11. Greetings all, I have recently found my old box of Empire models and I've been trying to make an army list with them. I've always had a strange obsession with gunpowder units in WFB, and my Empire force reflects that. Here's my first draft list: Lords General 377 -Runefang, The Other Trickster's Shard, Full Plate Armor, Shield, Imperial Griffon Heroes Master Engineer 85 -Hochland Long Rifle Master Engineer 85 -Hochland Long Rifle Battle Wizard 125 -Lore of Death, Level 2, Dispel Scroll Core 4x 20 Handgunners 720 10 Archers 70 Special 6 Pistoliers 108 2x Great Cannon 240 2x Mortar 200 Rare 2x Helblaster Volley Gun 240 Steam Tank 250 2,500 This is just based on the models in my collection, with only minor purchases or conversions required. I'm trying to make a fun list that can shoot the pants off my opponent but folds in CC... I think I have succeeded here! The Wizard uses the Archers as a bunker. I only chose the Lore of Death as the model is an old school Death Wizard. The Engineers each sit between a Great Cannon and a Helblaster, giving out the re-roll bonus to whichever warmachine needs it most (likely the Helblaster). The General has been mounted on a Griffon for two reasons: I have the model, and combat lords on flying monstrous mounts are one of the reasons why I started playing WFB. He'll probably never make it to combat, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. Any suggestions? I don't want a tournament army or anything, I just want something that represents a defending force from Nuln and can give some good times while rolling dice.

  14. Oh right, I forgot about Furious Charge. It gives +1 Initiative again? That's good to hear, I shelved my Blood Angels in 6th because of the changes to Furious Charge. I agree with the "Sergeanty" statement. This is going to be a damn good looking army when you are done with it.
  15. This list is awesome. It appears to be pretty balance and would be a blast to play with or against. It's too bad you can't launch Operation Flame Bot 5000, but at least you have Operation Flame Bot 2500. Out of curiosity, why did you go with the Power Sword over a Power Axe? Because of awesomeness?
  16. I think that any number of detatchments is acceptable, within the rules published by GW. If you can't fit what you want to take into detachments then there's always Unbound.
  17. The updated list is much stronger and seems to have more punch. Good luck with the tournament!
  18. Does Jink now give you a 4+ Cover Save? ...I need to play more 7th edition :/
  19. Actually I DID have them on every vehicle. That's why my cover save was a 4+ instead of a 5+.
  20. I like them on the Fire Prisms as they can often hang back and claim cover saves. But now that skimmers don't automatically get a Jink save by moving I feel they aren't worth the points for the more "close range" Wave Serpents. You really shouldn't be jinking with the primary offensive portion of your army.
