  1. My brother and I are bringing ~8 Magic: the Gathering Commander decks. If anyone wants to join in let me know!
  2. I still have 20 Cultists, 9 CSM, 5 Terminators, and a Maulerfiend to paint. Tomorrow is going to be a looooooong day in the chair...
  3. I'd love to play against your team! I'm not sure if it's too late for a challenge though.
  4. Yes, he is on Kill! Maim! Beer! now, I PM'd BigTal about it a while ago.
  5. Thanks for the head's up! $16 a day for parking doesn't sound too crazy now.
  6. I'm always shocked at how much of a difference base additions make. Even adding a bit of grass to an already "complete" base is a huge difference!
  7. I'm bringing Iron Warriors. They are easy to paint (silver/gold) outside of the caution stripes. I really want to get caution stripes on every bolter and chainsword but I think I'll just paint them black/metal until everything else is done.
  8. I know I'll be re-using my display board from last year. Hooray for similar basing schemes across armies! I got more vehicles done over the weekend, but I'm really procrastinating on the infantry. I still have 40 models to paint and less than 2 weeks to go!
  9. I did not like: -Steadfast -Pre-measuring -Random charge distances -Overpowered 6th spells (Purple Sun, etc) -True line of sight None of these broke the game for me, but I still prefer 7th (or even 6th) edition.
  10. Updated list. I still have quite a bit of work to do, it's a good thing I have a three day weekend!
  11. That's true. At first I thought someone would have to play the same person twice but then I actually thought about it, lol.
  12. I saw this too, while I don't mind playing the same people again I thought we only played against any team only once?
  13. This is what I was thinking. I'm a huge fan of MTG and I think this change could be really good. I'm not jumping to any conclusions yet, though.
  14. I wouldn't have any issues at all with that. As long as they look like they are from the unit there shouldn't be any problem.
  15. Free rules? I am shocked. There must be a catch. Maybe the core rules are free but you have to pay for individual unit's rules separately? Seems like something GW would do.
  16. I plan on using the 3 ~1,500 point armies full of OOP miniatures that I already have. None of them are painted and I think they will look better on round bases anyway!
  17. I don't have an airbrush D: And if I did, I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to use it! Iron Warriors are easy enough to paint, though. I have no doubts in my ability to finish this project.
  18. I'm very interested in this and will be following the rumors closely. I didn't care much for 8th edition but the rumors of AoS being skirmish-sized have definitely piqued my interest!
  19. This list hasn't changed much, unfortunately :/ I need to crack the whip on this project...
  20. I have never played in an ITC event and don't think I ever will so that's not much of a concern for me. I do think Drop Pods are the more powerful option for this type of build. Razorspam is cute (especially with Scout) but deep striking oodles of ObSec units is ridiculously hard to deal with!
  21. When I first read the rules that give free transports to all units if you take a Battle Company I knew I had to make a list that abused this. I had considered taking a few Drop Pods in addition to the wall of Razorbacks but I think I like this better: Gladius Strike Force Detachment Space Marines Demi-Company Captain 90 Command Squad 120 -2 Flamers, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun 5 Tactical Marines 110 -Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun 5 Tactical Marines 110 -Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun 5 Tactical Marines 110 -Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun 5 Assault Marines 95 -Sergeant has Meltabombs, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun 10 Devastator Marines 220 -4 Missile Launchers, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun Space Marines Demi-Company Chaplain 90 Command Squad 120 -2 Flamers, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun 5 Tactical Marines 110 -Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun 5 Tactical Marines 110 -Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun 5 Tactical Marines 110 -Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun 5 Assault Marines 95 -Sergeant has Meltabombs, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun 10 Devastator Marines 220 -4 Missile Launchers, Razorback w/ Lascannon & Twin-Linked Plasmagun Anti-Air Defense Force 2 Stalkers 150 2 Hunters 140 2,000 The Devastator squads split up leaving the 4 Missile Launchers stay behind and the other half of the squad rides the Razorback. I deploy 12 Razorbacks containing 60 marines and 2 characters, 2 5-man Devastator squads with Missile Launchers, 2 Stalkers, and 2 Hunters. By taking the Gladius Strike Force detachment and meeting the Battle Company requirements I get 660 points of free Razorbacks. All of the Marines and transports have Objective Secured. Any thoughts on this list? Is this over the top?
  22. I am not. I find sports to be very boring. Carry on!
  23. Just to confirm, you have received my team's (Kill! Maim! Beer!) lists, right? I don't want to think I'm all set when I'm not!
  24. New Vegas added a LOT of gameplay functionality. The map was a bit smaller than Fallout 3 but the features added (aim down sights, etc) were well worth it. I am very excited for this game. I'll probably get it on PS4 first for a playthrough with a high FPS then get it for PC a year or so later for mods. I need to upgrade my PC before it handles a game like this at 60 FPS.
