  1. 1) Yes, it will be a BS test unless it's out of LoF, then it's subject to speculative fire rules. It's got the same range bands as a rifle (not a combi), so +3 from 8 to 16, -3 up to 24, and minus 6 out to 48. 2) That's a really good question - I would guess that the enemy model can do nothing since it is not being acted upon, but I would think it reasonable that the model may declare a dodge since it sees something land really close to it, which would then just be at the model's physical value. If the model sees you shoot the marker, then they may absolutely declare a dodge with no penalty, but I'm not sure if they only see the landing of the marker. I'm going to pass this question on to Jake, he would know.
  2. Link teams aren't so bad, I can show you the ropes (if I can make it Sunday).
  3. Looks good to me and here's why: Those 5 grunts can be used as a link team, which means they'll all move together on one order and provide support to each other in active and reactive turns. That means that link is going to be a real obstacle for your opponents to get through, and you'll move all of your force up the board with a quickness. Move the Devil Dog first and throw lots of smoke. If you play it right, the devil dog's smoke will cover his own advance, then the grunts can make use of it as well. That grunt with Marksmanship lv x will do wonderful things for you - if I were playing you I'd keep all my guys in hidden for fear of that guy. If I went first, I'd kill him first, so if you're going second hide him. Read up on the link rules. You have to be careful who your link leader is. Keep the leader hidden and behind things so your link doesn't break.
  4. I love that everyone is getting into Infinity, it really is a very good game.
  5. Not 100% I can make it, but if I do here's Brad's Frenchmen! I will also bring lots of pan-o guys for anyone without an army. Force de Réponse Rapide Merovingienne ────────────────────────────────────────────────── Group 1 7 0 0 MÉTRO Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (8) CHASSEUR (Minelayer) Rifle, Light Flamethrower, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 20) ZOUAVE (Sapper) Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 25) LOUP-GAROU Boarding Shotgun, Adhesive Launcher, Flash Grenades / Pistol, Knife. (18) MÉTRO Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (8) MÉTRO Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (8) 112 Light Shotgun / Pistol, CCW. (12) 1 SWC | 99 Points Open with Army 5
  6. Nate, you might have been shooting through low vis? That's the only time you wouldn't add the armor. Oh, and template weapons of course. But they don't add either benefit.
  7. Nice list! Wish I was coming tonight. Forward observe a unit then shoot it with missles!
  8. I don't often use it in casual play because I don't want to make my opponent tally their stuff, but I think Warhammer would benefit from everyone using it always, it does a great job. I think it should be done just like a tournament - for every point off your army is from your opponents, you get or lose 100 victory points. So a 17 army versus a 14 army automatically gives up 300 points. Or 100 if you want to say anything beyond a 2 point difference. It can be a little time consuming looking up Swedish but I would prefer to do it if someone wanted to play me a game. Oh, you could set a range band - 10 to 20. Or just say "shoot for a 15" and keep it loose.
  9. Are you ordering directly from CB? The War Store, Miniature Market etc. have them and ship them really fast.

    Noob-Finity

Yes I will do this! BTW: I have two armies so if anyone wants to try one out, please let me know. The armies are Pan O and Merovingia (an Ariadna sectorial)
  11. I'm guessing you would keep them if you did, but do you have any sci-fi molds?
  12. Doctors (112's) are awesome, get one.

    WoW 08/16

Wish I could have made it tonight!
  14. Nate! I was reading rules - you can hack me through my own repeaters! There are a coulle penalties for it, but thats great - one of my remotes (pathfinder) is a repeater so you could project your hacking into my side of the field that way. Burst is always one in ARO And according to a faq I read that applies to hacking. Oh and yes, everything is really fragile! It is kinda scary, sometimes you can have a ton of your guys go down before you move. There are ways to mitigate the risk of this. Im paranoid of it, hence my total reaction bot and my love of minelayers. And template weapons in ARO. It was a fun game, lets do it again soon.
  15. Traktor Mul are really, really fun. Difficult models to build though. If youre looking for a way to expand, look into them. They make good use of your forward observers (as a targeted unit can get blasted through guided speculative fire), who you should have loads of anyway as theyre cheap specialists.
  16. Those two alguaciles in their own combat group wont be capable of much with only two orders - theyd do better in group one as order monkeys. I would recommend moving the total reaction bot to that second group (as it is for AROing) and/or rebalancing the groups a little. Go down to ten orders in one group or something like an 8-4 split. Or fit a couple more orders in to flesh out that second group. Even better, if you swapped those two alguaciles into group one for the reaction bot and your hacker LT (who you should not be using actively anyway, keep your lt hidden and safe), that could be pretty cool. A hacker can be great in ARO through repeaters as I found out today while playing Nate. I ran an HI by a repeater and he immobilized him (twice). You can also screw up combat jumps and guided ammo in ARO, making your hacker useful without feeding her orders. So shed be fine in that second group. Just my thoughts!
  17. I wouldn't suggest the Zouave with HMG - he's a sapper so he's kind of stuck where he is. He does much better with a sniper rifle. Sniper is great at AROs, and he will have cover/mimetism from the get-go with Sapper. Put him up high and rain down death on your opponents turn. Great for shutting down fire lanes and picking off models. That Spetsnaz is the best. Marksmanship and camo WITH HMG, you can't beat that. Rush him and kill bodies. I love the 112 and Chasseur. I think you've got a great group here.
  18. Ok, Supremacy is a good first mission I think.
  19. Ok Red Castle please! How many points? Would you like a mission?
  20. I'd be down unless youd rather play someone you havent. I could meet you at WoW Friday at noon?

    Squalos sale

    Dang, too late.
  22. Nomads are awesome - I'd love to play them. They are one of the most popular factions, if that means anything to you. They can do everything and tend to have high willpower (good for hacking, doctoring, specialist stuff). Ariadna is really cool, I play the MRRF, but you could go Russian, Scottish, or a blend of all three. They're low tech but have a lot of tricks. They tend to bring a few more models than anyone else. They excel at camo shenanigans, and they can take a punch due to their numbers. They lack TAGs and are really limited with hackers, though the Merovingians can bring a nomad hacker buddy and a mercenary TAG. Ariadna has Antipodes and werewolf guys, who are kind of like TAGs/Heavy Infantry and are pretty scary. I don't know anything about Aleph excep Steel Phalanx is scary.
