  1. I love the warband selections! Certainly better than that community made document we used last time. I think I'd play merchants.
  2. Cool, its good to hear stuff like this!
  3. Cool writeup. You mention forgetting to roll for the turn order. I found that to be a huge negative in my quick sample game. There is much less movement tactics for the reason that you might watch your opponent go twice before you go. If GW brings a point system I think that'll do a lot for AoS.
  4. Its going to be really good...
  5. Red Castle is the best.
  6. Haven't they explicitly said that this is not the next edition of Warhammer, it's its own thing? Feels [big bad swear word]ty they got rid of the FAQs. Guess they don't give a damn about those who want to keep playing 8th.
  7. Name: Bradley Forces: pan O and Merovingian sectorial Available: anytime during summer, non school hours otherwise Location: SE Portland Contact: PM
  8. I just bought some Pan O guys, would love to come out and get a game with you sometime.
  9. Ill be there! If anyone is looking for something to satisfy their fantasy fix until September (something other than Age of Sigmar) lets do some Mordheim! Ive got a thread in warhammer universe to see if anyone is interested.
  10. I love Mordheim to death and am wanting to feel out any interest in a Portland Mordheim group at Red Castle, Guardian, or WoW? Id hope for at least four people to play, though we wouldnt all have to meet on the same night, we could schedule 1v1s on the side. Id think 8 or 10 games over a few months would be a good idea, most wyrdstone wins. For those who have not played: its a super fun small skirmish game of maybe 6-15 models per side, akin to what I think are 6th edition fantasy rules? Its warhammer skirmish with a lot of RPG elements. Its also very terrain heavy as the idea is that your warband is exploring the mostly abandoned ruins of a gothic town. You gain experience and choose how to level up and outfit your guys after each battle. There are tons of items to buy. Winning the particular mission helps but is not vital as you still explore the ruins of Mordheim outside of battles, which keeps the game kind of light and not as competitive as the bigger GW games. Let me know if youre interested!
  11. Yeah I feel the same way Raindog. I'm bummed about it. GW did a bad thing here. I'm still going to try Sigmar, but I'm pretty sure this isn't what I got into Fantasy for. I've already started looking into the new Infinity rules, I used to really love that game. I'm actually off to try Sigmar now with Terell. Maybe it'll be alright.
  12. Bring your make me cry list if youd like! I kinda want to stress test my woodies.
  13. Hey Nate, can I get a battle in against your little fat fellas?
  14. I think I might go back to Infinity. I need to test AoS out a bit first I suppose.
  15. This game looks really cool - I'm not sure Age of Sigmar is going to do it for me. I'd love to give this a try.
  16. Yeah, let us know your thoughts please! I hope to get a game or two in Sunday.
  17. That sounds excellent, let me know if you need a playtester! I am kind of going through the range of emotions - panic to raw excitement. Guess I really care a lot about my little toy soldier hobby. Im optimistic overall - simplified rules dont necessarily mean less strategy/tactics.
  18. I will be there. Thanks for running game nights Eric, enjoy your well deserved break.
  19. I like the idea as long as its a reasonable price. The living rules thing is necessary in a game like this. If it means a more constant system of balancing thats great. But I guess this is just a rumor now.
  20. Anyone have any theories on why they'd get rid of points? Im not saying it's a bad thing. I just dont know what to think yet.
  21. 28 wildwood rangers :( I might just smear them in green and call it good.
