  1. I have no idea. I haven't even punched out the counters yet. I mostly bought it for the miniatures.
  2. I would totally be down for boardgame night. I have a couple of games on my shelf I've still never got around to playing, like Zombicide and Doom. If 3 other people want to play Chaos in the Old World, I'll bring that. But it has to be 3 people. I'm tired of playing it with less than 4.
  3. I thought Sherbert was demoing Saga for you?
  4. So some of you may know that I was participating in National Novel Writing Month. I didn't win this year, only got 43,000 words written, but my novel -- Blackblade: Vengeance of the Necromancer -- is half-finished and it's really good so I'm okay with not winning (it's not like there was a prize). I think it'll be done by January. But this post is all about the cover of my novel. First, this is the mock-up of a cover I did, and its clearly absolute crap: And this is the sketch I just got back from Alex García, who did the concept artwork for the DeepWars miniatures game: What a difference actually being an artist makes, huh? That's just amazeballs. And the color test: Isn't that [big bad swear word]ing AWESOME? I'm giddy like a schoolgirl. I've been working towards this for a long time, and the only way to describe my mood right now is with this gif: Anyways, now that nanowrimo is over and I'm not pushing for 50k in 30 days, I'll actually be down at the shop. You know, unless there is a blizzard,
  5. I just locked myself in a closet and banged my head against the wall til mommy and daddy stopped fighting, like I always do. But seriously, this isn't what I want out of gaming club. I like this to all blow over sooner rather than later. It's no fun, especially when I -- as a n00b -- feel like I don't even have footing to have an opinion.
  6. I voted the third option because I didn't even know there was a government until the revolution started. I could also go the first option. Or the second really. Hell, I don't know.
  7. Maybe if you and sounder both want to show up on Saturday, you can play each other and I can just serve as a referee.
  8. Hell yeah. I don't know if you got your own copy of the rules yet, but I've been carrying around photocopies of the crusaders entry from crescent & cross for the last few weeks. Remind me next time you see me and I'll give them to you.
  9. If you haven't found a game by Friday I will totally come down and demo Saga for you.
  10. To add on to dalmer's point, I still have no idea who is a hamster and who is not on game night. It is kind of confusing.
  11. You will get people who we don't know on this forum then. This is literally the only spot I know of on the internet immune to the Greater Internet [big bad swear word]wad Theory -- because no one is anonymous. I like that. Also Shay is right: Exclusivity is fun. I do think we should put up a flyer advertising that Tuesday night is opening gaming night, what games are often played (I'd list WH40k, WHFB, X-Wing, Infinity, Saga + Boardgames of All Sorts), and most importantly that it starts at 6 PM.
  12. I'm confused. Are Brad and I playing Twilight Struggle or not?
  13. Name: Miles Adams Saga: Normans, Bretons, Franks Infinity: Adriana Warmachine: Cygnar, Cryx Hordes: Everblight Spinespur: Slaughterhouse 40k: Space Marines Blood Bowl: Dark Elves, Amazons Availability: Pretty Much Whenever Cell Phone: (206) 450-7879 E-mail: adamsmk76@gmail.com
  14. I was thinking about this today as I was doing some yard work in the rain, and I realized it may be a few months (like six) before I get a day sunny enough to make a screen - the process uses a photosensitive emulsion, and I don't have powerful enough artificial lights. So placing an order through a shop might be a better idea. But typically, if you want to do varied colors, it's cheaper to do it by hand with a screen. You can use the same screen for all kinds of different colors (you have to wash the screen after each run, which makes changing inks a snap), but I think when you do machine runs setting up a new color incurs an extra charge.
  15. Yeah, sure. I've got all the gear -- I've got several 24" x 24" screens, so I can do a really large design in pretty much any color on any t-shirt. All I'd really need is a clean sample of the bayonet-hamster artwork in b&w and whatever text folks want, I can do all the design work on my computer.
  16. Would you guys like me to set up a silkscreen and make some shirts?
  17. I'd like one. I've got one, but it doesn't actually fit me.
  18. Man, I'm just going to show up tonight and hopefully someone want to play something. I think I'll bring Super Dungeon Explore down with me, just for [big bad swear word]s and giggles.
  19. I have some terrain pieces I can bring down. They're just sitting in a box doing nothing right now.
  20. Originally I just used a 25mm x 50mm rectangle, same as the rest of my cavalry, but I'm doing a new one mounted on a 50mm circle because I read on the studio tomahawk forums that the 50mm circle is "standard" for mounted warlords. My mounted priests and unmounted warlords are going on 40mm circles. Everything else is either 25x50 rectangles or 25mm circles. I'll throw a 50mm disc in for you, since the bag of them I bought had twice as many as I needed.
