  1. Once I figured out what you were saying and went through and looked at it your multiple suggestions are VERY VERY good. What do you think about crossmatching the plagueburst crawler to the stormlord?
  2. Ah. Actually the stormlord looks very good. Reduce the transport to 30 and only 10 models can shoot.
  3. What about wounds/firepoints. The baneblades all have 3 structure points, the Nurgle Plague Tower has 6. There is the Plagueburst Crawler which has essentially the same weapon set. The Thunderhawk Gunship has a transport capacity of 30, 200 more old-school Apoc points than the Nurgle Plague Tower, only 3 structure points, a significant more weapons, and bombs.. lots of bombs.
  4. The arcanite box looks like it might be a decent deal. Will have to look at it. See if they have 30 or 20 in that horror troop choice.
  5. Ok. This is an ongoing long term project thing. This is the second one I have made, the first one got crushed during moving and stuff. Been going through some old Apocalypse books to find parity with 8E. Found some things that could be used as data points. Baneblade (obviously), Warhound Scout Titan, Revenant Titan, Hierophant Bio-Titan, Thunderhawk Gunship The original stats had a 6" movement, 6 structure points, Transport capacity for 30, 10 fire-points, BS 3, FA 14. Special rules: Nurgle Infestation, assaulting units suffer 3D6 S3 hits at I3, Explosion of Filth, On destruction Models within 2D6 are hit with explosion damage, Models with Mark of Nurgle, Nurgle Daemons etc are immune. Weapons: Pus Cannon, Hellstorm template S7 AP3, Heavy 1 2x Demolisher Cannon 24" S10 AP2, Ordnance 1 Blast Plague Mortar 24-72" S7 AP 3, Ordnance Barrage 7" Blast Template Looking for suggestions on possible 8E stats
  6. Going to run a beta test of my attrition league. I need 3 people to play 3 games round robin from as soon as we get 3 people to when we start the next 40k league. You start with 500 points from which you MUST have 2 troop choices and 1 HQ choice. In between games you have the chance to earn up to 400 points based on playing, cache spending, and forum presence. Models that are killed have a chance to be attrited from the army list. The attrition chance is modified by how well you secure the model, and what models you bring that can effect in-game wound recovery and stats.
  7. Anyone have the 8E eldar revenant titan datasheet?
  8. threat density... must have threat density
  9. well, the way it sounds is they are going to condense all the land raider kits into one kit, so you only have to buy one box for any type of Land Raider. And then you can mix and match the weapons, with the balance being the model transport number.
  10. hmm. The +1 to first turn is only for the MP missions in CA. Not for general matched play. "One of the things we’ve had the most feedback about is about which player gets the first turn in these missions. Barring a sneaky Seize the Initiative roll, the current feeling is that the present method is a bit too reliable, and some players are developing armies and strategies to exploit this. We’ve taken this feedback on board and changed how you determine who gets the first turn in every one of the new matched play missions presented in Chapter Approved:" "These new missions do not replace the matched play missions in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook, they supplement them, allowing you to choose the style of mission rules you enjoy playing the most." evidently. we will see. supposedly
  11. If it's not ITC, but still uses the chapter approved +1 to first turn rule then all the chapter approved rules should be implemented for matched play.
  12. I don't know. the S3 means -16%, S6 will get you +16%, the ap-1 is another +16%. D3 damage averages 2 damage. The heavy will get you -16%, AP-2 is +33%. 4 shots vs 1. 2 damage vs the ballistic. I would say if you think you are going up against T4 infantry take the heavy 4 weapon. It won't kill any of them, but you might get 1 kill. If you are going up against a light vehicle then take the grenade launcher. It won't do anything either but you might do 2 damage.
  13. oh. yes. They count as moving so you do get the -1. That's in a diff section. holdon
  14. Look for the term "set up on the battlefield". It has a very specific meaning in 8E.
  15. Ok so. Are you trying to get a movement after setting up on the battlefield? Because the only units that can do that have it specified on the datasheet. So unless the datasheet specifies you can move the unit after setting it up anywhere on the battlefield then you can't move after setting up on the battlefield.
  16. Look in BRB under deployment/transport/matched play tactical reserves.
  17. It's going to say on the deep strike rules something like "Set it up anywhere on the battlefield"
