  1. The Lucius Pattern Drop Pod can transport a single < CHAPTER > VEHICLE model with tbe DREADNOUGHT keyword. Imperial Armour: Index: Forces of the Adeptus Astartes, p. 45. The Redemptor Dreadnought has all three required keywords.
  2. Keep the expoy moist and keep your fingertips damp. A small bowl of just warm side of lukewarm water works well. Be sure your hands are freshly cleaned before you start. It’s the skin oils more than texture that causes fingerprints.
  3. She’s a beauty... Now, confess, how much time did you spend running around the room with her making vroom-vroom-woosh noises?

  5. This problem pretty much plagues all the MDF terrain shops: MDF weighs a ton. A lot of American shops will ship domestically by flat-rate priority mail, but if you buy from someone in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, or the UK, you end up getting hit hard by the shipping costs.
  6. I work swing shift and my “weekend” is Tuesday and Wednesday, which makes it hard to fit family stuff, hobby stuff, and the like into a time that meshes with others. Oldest daughter has D&D Wednesday’s, youngest daughter has het after-school stuff, and I have not yet mastered the art of teleportation...

  9. For the record, I would like to apologize in advance for spending the entire lifespan of this codex until it’s inevitable replacement in a future edition, for constantly referring to these tokens as “The bleeps, the sweeps, and the creeps.”

Intercessors can’t move 12+1d6” a turn, Rhinos can.

    D+D Maps

Wow, a fantasy city map that (mostly) makes sense. That’s a rare sight indeed. The forest comes up far too close to the city walls, leading to the typical problem of “where do these people raise their crops?” But that’s easy enough to handwave as saying that everything outside the wall just wasn’t detailed properly by the cartographer... The castle should probably have a barbarican or gatehouse on the slope upward, but that can be explained as a simple budgetary thing.

Assuming you don’t make any outré modifications to it, the standard Rhino is 115 mm L x 75 mm W x 50 mm H. The average Intercessor/Reiver/Hellblaster is about 45 mm tall... So you can shelter a demi-squad behind one without too much trouble (unless, obviously, the enemy has an elevated position). Still, I’d much rather be able to my Primaris Marines inside the @&$#% thing.

    SM Hunter

Rhino with a hunter-killer missile, 78 Points. Shoots almost as well as the Hunter (once), blocks just as much space, and can do something useful like transport a Troops unit. Said Troops unit could be a Tactical Squad with a missile launcher, which shoots better than the Hunter... The reason you don’t see very many Hunters on the table is that they are very bad at their job.
  15. Off topic, but which one of the rambunctious little murder hobos is yours? Mine’s Ellie.

    SM Hunter

I wouldn’t mind “one hit kills” being rare, if it weren’t for the fact that “love taps” were so common. The Hunter’s Skyspear Missile Launcher is a 60” Heavy 1 9/–3/D6 weapon. Yes, it hits targets with < Fly > on a 2+ that rerolls misses... That’s a 97.222% accuracy, which is phenomenal. But most Flyers are T7 or T8, so it wounds on a 3+, which ain’t bad... But then it has the exact same chance at doing 1 Damage as it does 6 Damage. If shooting at something like a Valkyrie (which seems like a good baseline for a “real” Flyer) we’re looking at 2.835 Damage on average. Joe Average Tactical Squad Marine with a missile launcher will do 3.111 Damage with a krak missile. Call me crazy, but a dedicated purpose-built Anti-Aircraft vehicle should be better at killing aircraft than an infantryman with a general purpose anti-armor gun. The Skyspear Missile Launcher needs to have its Damage increased against < Fly > units. Say something like “roll 2d6 and keep highest” or even 2d3.

They’re not even very good at their intended purpose: Anti-Aircraft shooting. Is their a Flyer (or even just a vehicle with Fly) that a Hunter can kill with its single missile? 80 Points to knock one Jetbike or Land Speeder out of the sky isn’t all that useful.
  18. Likewise. They seem tempting whenever I’m standing at the register, but then I remind myself that there is basically no substantial difference between them and any other Tactical Marine...
  19. Oh, please, like anyone in the Games Workshop fandom has ever let “logic” and “reason” stop them from complaining about something GW did (or did not) do.
  20. Hopefully, this is addressed in more detail in the final book than in the marketing preview. I would guess we’ll probably just treat the “blip” as if it was an enemy unit...
  21. They’ve never been shy about the Blood Angels’ thematic inspiration being Renaissance religious artwork and literature (with a sprinkling of Baroque to keep it fresh). They’re the Renaissance Italian Catholic Vampires in Spaaace, and that’s why we love them.
