  1. So, what you’re saying is, you now have two Goblin Shamans – a master and an apprentice. Perfect for Frostgrave!
  2. The new Maleficent sequel took an unexpected turn…
  3. Have fun! Send us back some [s]meth[/s] sunshine.
  4. (We said if you don't got Mojo Nixon then your store could use some fixin‘)
  5. Anyone up for some Oathmark tomorrow night (Tuesday 8/24)? Edit to Add: Apparently there won’t be a game night this Tuesday after all. Fooey.
  6. It usually means that they just haven’t gotten around to starting the thread yet.
  7. “As we celebrate mediocrity all the boys upstairs want to see, How much you'll pay for what you used to get for free.” –Tom Petty, The Last DJ (2002)
  8. Here’s what I’m thinking. Let me know if this works for ya’ll • 2,500 Points Standard (may play larger or smaller if both opponents agree) • Six Weeks (Week of October 4th – Week of November 8th) • Core Rulebook: everything • Battlesworn: yes legendary units, yes engineers, yes new spells; no boats, no military expeditions • Oathbreakers: undead faction, legendary heroes, new spells; no military expeditions • Bane of Kings: yes to events, yes new units, yes special formations; no military expeditions • Halflings: yes
  9. Excellent points… I had been thinking about keeping the points down in order to lower the “barrier to entry,” but a fixed 2,500 Points makes a lot of sense too.
  10. Who’s up for doing a proper campaign? I know we’re all still learning the game and putting together our armies, but campaign play is a big part of what makes Oathmark tick. Maybe just a short one… Four to six weeks and 1,000-2,000 Points (players’ choice when setting up a game). We could start the first game night of September and run until mid or late October? December and January are always a slow period for gaming, what with holidays, bad weather, and end-of-year/beginning-of-year work stuff, so I’d hate to lose the momentum that Oathmark seems to be building.
  11. They’d never make it past the Space Wolf cosplayers in the main hall.
  12. Many a song of glory (and a fair few tales of woe) were woven into the tapestry of history upon the field’s of Mariah’s basement ping pong table. Many a hero, stalwart and true (and a fair few villains, craven and cowardly) did shed their pewter life’s blood upon the goblin green flock’d styrofoam hills crafted in my garage.
  13. I was figuring I’d pick up the core rulebook… But, no, I’m not going to buy a $50 rulebook, a $50 compendium, and then wait an unknown number of months (possibly years) to buy another $50 “supplement” to get the rules I should have gotten upfront. Sorry, Gee-Dubya. I’m out. I’ll finish the painting on the Necromunda gang and the Custodes army that I already have. I’ll probably buy the eventual next edition of those games, just because I know that no matter where life takes me there will probably be a WH40k game group around. But, other than that? Meh. I just can’t be bothered to care anymore about their games and the constant firehouse of new products, new “supplements”, and new new new new new… There are [big bad swear word]ty Chinese “free to play” mobile games on my iPhone that bombard me with less PREMIUM SPECIAL OFFER LIMITED RELEASE BUY NOW!!! advertising.
  14. What’s more important, your physical health and being able to take care of your family for years to come or getting some paint on your toy soldiers? I think, in your heart of hearts, you already know the answer to that question. See you at the clubhouse tonight.
  15. I’ve got Discord, I’m signed up to the Ordo channel… I just… Never use Discord. It’s okay for real-time communication, but I find it really cumbersome for anything else.
  16. Those Kobold Miners, with the shovels and pickaxes, would be excellent to use as “counts as” Goblin, Orc, or even Dwarf Engineers.
  17. One Page Rules has their Saurian Army, which is basically their off-brand take on the Meso-American Dinosaur-Man theme of GW’s Lizardmen. These models are, at default print heights, on the large end of 32 mm scale… But if you shrunk them down before printing, you could probably get them to look Kobold-y.
  18. Take a look at Monstrous Encounters’ Kobold Set 1 (basic rank and file) and Set 2 (for characters; I really dig that bard) if you want the typical D&D tiny dragon-man style of Kobold.
  19. Nope; They were added in Oathbreakers for the Undead and in Bane of Kings for everybody else.
  20. Ogres and Ogre Linebreakers are meant to be on 50 x 50 mm bases, which might be too small for your elephants… Maybe they could work as “counts as” Chariots?
