Just to be clear.  your 1000 point forces are independent forces entirely.  So.  Dont try to teleport friendlies outside your own 1000 points and dont try to cast a blessing on them.  they hate you deep down inside and would kill you if circumstances didnt dictate otherwise, so best not to anger them prematurely before their usefulness has ended.

Just thought you'd all like a sneak peak at one of the fun missions we'll be using for the pairs tournament:

MYSTERIOUS OBJECTIVES: YES.  MAKE SURE TO MARK THEM

MYSTERIOUS TERRAIN: NONE

WAR ZONE TRAITS:  THE HOUSE OF TZEENTCH

EACH UNIT THAT IS NOT A DEDICATED TRANSPORT THAT IS UTTERLY DESTROYED BY ANY MEANS PROVIDES YOU A FAVOR FROM TZEENTCH.

THE FAVOR MUST BE DECLARED AT THE BEGINNING OF A MOVEMENT PHASE.  IT CAN BE USED IN EITHER PLAYERS MOVEMENT PHASE.  THE PLAYER WHOSE TURN IT IS CAN CHOOSES TO USE THE FAVOR IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE OPPONENT CHOOSES WHETHER TO DO SO, IF YOU BOTH WANT TO USE FAVORS...

HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH A TZEENCH FAVOR:
1)  NOMINATE ONE OF YOUR NON-CHARACTER MODELS.  PLACE IT IN AN OPPONENTS UNIT WITH THE SAME UNIT TYPE AS YOUR MODEL (for example, infantry).  THEN TAKE A MODEL FROM HIS UNIT AND USE IT TO REPLACE YOURS!  YOU CANNOT USE THIS FAVOR IF ONLY ONE MODEL REMAINS IN THE ENEMY UNIT WHEN YOU USE THIS FAVOR, SO IT IS USELESS AGAINST SINGULAR MODEL UNITS.

2) NOMINATE ANY VEHICLE, FRIEND OR FOE.  IT'S FRONT ARMOR IS RESET  PERMANENTLY TO 9+D6.  IT CAN BE CHANGED WITH ANOTHER FAVOR LATER, IN EXACTLY THE SAME WAY, EVEN IN THE SAME MOVEMENT PHASE BY THE OPPOSING PLAYER!

3) NOMINATE A TERRAIN FEATURE.  MOVE IT WHEREVER YOU WANT ON THE BAORD 3d6 INCHES.  MODELS INSIDE DO NOT MOVE WITH IT AND ARE PLACED O NTHE GROUND WHERE THEY WERE.  IF THEY ARE ON TOP OF EACH OTHER DUE TO MULTILEVEL BUILDINGS AND THE LIKE, MOVE THEM THE MINIMUM REQUIRED TO PLACE THEM SIDE BY SIDE INSTEAD.

THIS EXPENDS THE FAVOR.  THERE IS NO LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF FAVORS YOU CAN ACCUMULATE, BUT THEY CAN ONLY BE USED AS DESCRIBED, AND ONLY AT THE START OF EITHER MOVEMENT PHASE IN THE ORDER DESCRIBED ABOVE.

ROLL FOR WARLORD TRAITS:  ARE YOU WAITING FOR SOEMTHING?  ROLL!

ROLL FOR CHOICE OF SIDES:   ONCE YOU HAVE, PLACE YOUR FORTIFICATIONS ANYWHERE IN YOUR TABLE HALF.

ROLL FOR FIRST DEPLOYMENT: DAWN OF WAR (PAGE 119).  THE PERSON WHO DEPLOYS FIRST, GOES FIRST.


PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:  1 POINT PER ENEMY UNIT THAT IS KILLED, FALLING BACK OR OFF THE BOARD AT THE END OF THE GAME, REGARDLESS OF WHY.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVES:  RETRIBUTION, SECURE THE AREA, SLAY THE WARLORD, FIRST BLOOD, LINE BREAKER.

RETRIBUTION: In the player turn in which First Blood is achieved by a player (called player A), count the total units that this player destroyed in that player turn in total. If Player B can then kill that number of Player A's units in his very next player turn, he has achieved Retribution.

SECURE THE AREA: Have at least one non-vehicle unit in each quadrant.

Just got off the phone with the store.  Looks like we have 24 who confirmed they are coming and more on the list of maybe's.

 

The event can take 28.  So if you are planning on being a part of the fun, it would be a REALLY good time to call the store and absolutely confirm if you haven't already.
