I am not 100% happy with this because it seemed that towards the end I kept making mistakes. Pretty much just stopped as it was just a downward spiral of things I wasn't happy with.

 

Anywho, without further ado:

Painted up a sanguinor recently. The camera on my phone does some funky things with color depth.

 

I messed up quite a bit with the wings so they will continue to disappoint me. Looks better from afar when you won't notice the mistakes.

I always had issues with gold as a models primary color, so I feel ya there :)

 

The termies look awesome. I like the greens in the eye lenses, and the brick work on the bases. Are you using bits of sprew?

Love the colors if the wings. I think I'm going to try that blue to white fade when I next paint Blood Angels.

Actually, found a bag of model bricks at Guardian Games. They're reddish in color and you get a ton of them.

Metals are a little thick, but the overall appeal is nice.  Those blocked colors must look great on the table.

Only thing I can really suggest is thinning your Gold, so it's not so clumpy.  Or perhaps heavy dry brushing instead?  Otherwise, great models!

The gold is already drybrushed. Are you referring to the gold on the Sanguinor?

 

So for Karlean, I started off with a 2:1 mix of brown and gold. Then washed with devlan mud:

 

 

I then drybrushed the shining gold onto the figure:

 

 

If we are referring to the Sanguinor, I think the lighting is just really poor in the pictures which seemed to lose a lot of the definition and details.
