PumpkinHead
At least they're not rolling around on the ground faking a grievous injury every five minutes ;) That is because they are playing on all turf surfaces. Hitting the ground is going to tear up their legs super fast.
Raindog
Switzerland had a good day. The US was fine against Sweden, but needs to raise their game.
doc
US was crap. They were very lucky to get the tie.
doc
France vs Columbia; best game yet.

doc
I thought they looked awful. Disorganized, little penetration, poor finishing, sloppy defending. NOT the team of 4 years ago. Wombat was useless too... She has had her day I think.
Raindog
Wombach had a poor showing and she subbed in. Is she injured? Not fit? Sweden and the US flooded passing lanes. Neither had the speed to beat the other. Each had plenty of chances, but no brilliant play.
doc
The men's U20 are not looking good in NZ right now. Serbia are giving them a runaround!
doc
Team USA looked much better last night; the new front line was awesome, Morgan roaming freely was impressive. Not sure they need to put Rapinoe back in... Still not convinced they'll beat Germany though Canada fell to a very aggressive England today. A terrible 3 minutes was the only blight; but giving up 2 in that span is almost always fatal. Canada deserved better. England have the potential to beat Japan, who looked average. doc
Though I would like to see USA play England, for 3rd, on the 4th of July....

I don't think Wombach is playing regularly on a team
Brother Glacius
Nearly had a heart attack watching the game last night. Wooooooo so glad it went our way!
PumpkinHead
Yeah, we got lucky Germany missed their PK. I think that may have swung the momentum. That and the foul that gave the USA the PK was outside the box, so we got lucky on that call.
doc
And lucky Johnston was not sent off for the foul... Ref screwed up on that one!

intrizic
I feel bad for England, they out played Japan and that's a terrible way to go out of World Cup. on a positive note...Well done England Women's team, I expect a strong run from them next world cup.

Burk
A co-worker of mine mentioned the connection between the world cup and WWII. When did England blow themselves up? Was that 43? No, 44, thats it.
Blustorm
A co-worker of mine mentioned the connection between the world cup and WWII. Yeah, and when Napoleon was the king, other people were always trying to conquer him. So, it's just history repeating itself.
