InfestedKerrigan
Relentless Broadsides indeed. The 3 units of Crisis battle suits is kinda annoying but hey. What can ya do? Run them solo. 22 pts each. Weapons aren't required.
Lord Hanaur
True but then that's a pretty hefty tax, right? I mean you can field Monat suits and use them as vehicle assassins and that's been done before so perhaps? I'm not totally opposed to that. I'd load them up with a TL Fusion and a Fusion gun, call it a day probably. Tau Empire are ideal for MSU anyways. But in Kill Point missions, ouch. You know? WestRider
Heck, run them solo and do give them Weapons. You could get some seriously ridiculous MSU action out of that. I really like the way that Formation takes a bunch of the load off the Tau Elites section, opening up a bunch of room for stuff like Stealth Suits. Lord Hanaur
yes. Of which I own about 25... BWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
InfestedKerrigan
I find it interesting that that formation doesn't have a 0-1 choice for Crisiguards.
AbusePuppy
Well, Crisis Bodyguards are kinda hot garbage, so that's not much of a problem.
IW Raptors
Interesting that crisis suit units can have up to nine suits now in a unit. I suppose with the addition of a buffmander, target locks and a heap of gun drones/marker drones, you could make a mini tau deathstar. The footprint would be massive though and tau tend towards msu as even with a tanky buffmander and a shed load of drones, tau don't get any crazy durability.
InfestedKerrigan
I didn't notice the increase from 3. It's about time, though.
Brother Glacius
I <3 GW...really I do. So I can either spend $50 on an updated book that I already own, or I can drop $75 on a campaign set to get the updated rules. I wonder if current iPad users automatically get the updated version? I suppose I can just not buy any of the new models and stick with what I have.

InfestedKerrigan
So is it a Fortification or is it a Fortification Formation? Drastic difference in it being allowed at events or not.
InfestedKerrigan
And if Tau get to start taking a Mobile Trench Network, everyone else should be able to access the Stronghold Formations, in my not so humble opinion.
pretre
I imagine you'll see the individual pieces allowed but not the whole shebang.
InfestedKerrigan
Didn't catch that it was being blown apart and sold, too. Sweet. I still stand by my earlier statement about the larger kit, though. I'm interested in seeing the individual piece rules, and if they can take "+X"
Lord Hanaur
Its a fortification like any other, only massive and you can make it even bigger
pretre
Its a fortification like any other, only massive and you can make it even bigger Well, not really. It's a fortification network like any other... :)
InfestedKerrigan
Every time a group in the community tries to ban using something from the rules, GW releases something as a big fuk you to that group. Mass D. Super Heavies. Fortification Networks. Formations consisting of Formations.
InfestedKerrigan
Well, it functions as a Fortification Network. Is it listed as a Fortification Network, or is it listed as a Fortification?
pretre
We don't know yet.
InfestedKerrigan
We don't know if the rules that came in the box are Fort Network or not? I thought the box was already out. Was that not LH posting pics of his own on the other page?

AbusePuppy
And if Tau get to start taking a Mobile Trench Network, everyone else should be able to access the Stronghold Formations, in my not so humble opinion. There's very little reason to keep banning them at this point, but for some reason tournaments do it anyways. Well, not really. It's a fortification network like any other... :) It actually isn't- like the Aquila Strongpoint and Fortress of Redemption, it is a single fortification consisting of multiple linked parts. Note that its Options section allows you to add sections, as opposed to the fortification network wordings which say that you can "take 1-X of this or that fortification."
Lord Hanaur
I have the rules. They are battlefield debris(defense line) and battlefield debris (gun emplacement).
