rudra34 Posted December 27, 2015 Author Report Share Posted December 27, 2015 I got a little bit of work done on my order sergeants, but mostly I'm playing around with some of the models I got this week. Cleaned and assembled the entire Haqq starter set, and built two yuan-yuan with very light conversions of the corregidor starter hellcat and wildcat (pics to come soon). In a week or so I'll have a fully playable second faction, which is very exciting.If anyone is looking for tomcats or an intruder, I will happily trade the remaining ones that I have for some alguaciles (females preferred!). rudra34 Posted December 30, 2015 Author Report Share Posted December 30, 2015 Got a good haul from the GF and brothers this year, and ended up with a funtional 300 points of QK. I spent a few days getting them all assembled and would love to break them in with a game! If anyone is free tomorrow (12/30) I'm off all day. Otherwise I suppose I can wait til Sunday. Other than that I plan to spend my day tomorrow painting up my MO and getting them ready for the Rampage. In this game my dice were doing everything I needed, and I made an absurd amount of armor saves (my alguacil hacker took about 5 shotguns to the face and lived to tell the story). In the end I won 9-1, having healed all the wounded and killing one of Eric's doctors. I can't find anywhere that says NWI grants shock immunity, so I was wrong there.Quick lessons and highlights:-Yuan-yuan are as good as everyone says. They gave me the chance to do some quick, suicide wounds on turn one, and dropping one in my own backfield let me set up a safe zone for my HMG to fire through.-Doctor plus is almost too good. Being able to heal on a 17 is just insane. I'm used to every model I try to heal dropping dead, so having it be nearly a sure-thing is just ridiculous. -2 links is order-efficient as hell. My odalisques did little in this game other than getting into a good position, but the ability to move 8 models up the field with so few orders is a godsend. Hopefully I'll learn to play them a little better in future games. -2 Hawwa may be a must-have in every list. Even if they don't exist to claim objectives, they can gaurd the hell out of them and make the middle of the board a very dangerous place.That was a good change up from MO, but I still intend on taking them for the Rampage. I don't encounter the rule often enough for it to be cemented in my head, so I remembered incorrectly and flipped it. In the future I'll have to be more careful with that sort of thing.
