lol - my current group - we have 3 GM's… we rotate between WHFRP, 3.5 straight D&D fantasy and my 3.5 take on D&D into SteamPunk land. - we only play once every 2-3 weeks - We have not looked at Pathfinder… mostly because we can get everything we want nearly free for 3.5. We have players whom play Savage worlds…and I play and GM just about anything RPG… and have the unplayed collection of games to prove it - - 5e looks nice…reviews sound nice. But moving my current group would be pretty hard. I am thinking I will probably want to round up a new group to make that leap :). My problem is that Fantasy… is probably my least fav. RPG setting lol. I don't mind playing though :) -d

its the 2nd or 3rd review of 5e that I have read… sounds like a good edition. Now just to find a group willing to make that leap. :/

watched Snowpiercer last night … loved it myself - great story and nice twists. refreshing scifi doesn't happen that often imo. lots of action… cool movie with a deeper plot. 4 /5 stars :)

OK - looks like my chore list to get done by wednesday has stacked up over the weekend - I will not be able to make it tuesday - NEXT WEEK though… I will be looking for a couple games possibly. -d

- I will be looking for some learning games in the next month or so till OFCC - 40k. I have my army put together - and I am slowly painting what needs to be done. But I need to learn how to play 7th LOL (agh!…details - details). anyhow, I will be looking for a game o'40k 2k (OFCC style) with my Eldar wraith-kin force. I can probably be there by 4-ish… but not firm on that yet. -d

I saw the movie for the 2nd time last night - still love it. I couldn't help but think…that the movie reminds me of GMing an RPG for my typical set of players. "you want to play a talking Raccoon? …what?… a tree?… seriously a big brute that speaks with a rather large vocabulary?… ugh…." great fun!

meh… but I have not been playing x-wing either… at this point I would rather play BFG - just because I have the rules and figures I need lol. looks cool… but not touching it. -d

The model used to have 2 crew separate of the gun - sounds like GW's newer model has it molded together. I would say that the eldar player was right based on the history of the figures used for this crew. I think this is a case of GW rules not quite in line with what the designers created in the most recent support weapon kit. all in my opinion - as I play the support weapon crew… but with the older metal figures - which is 2 crew - and a separate gun platform. -d

Nope - sorry - those are scatter lasers - the pulse laser is the larger falcon main gun... Sorry. :( The heavy weapon sprue doesn't have the pulse laser. It's the long one - kinda looks like the bright lance - but bigger.

Maybe ... I can't be sure... I don't remember them being in the set. - I have one from the old prism set. Photo?

Plastic or metal - doesn't matter to me. The main gun from the falcon. It's not on the normal heavy weapons sprue. I have a pile of heavy weapons... But no pulse lasers. :(

Looking for six eldar pulse laser bits. I can't seem to locate the ones I should have... So hoping to find a few here :).

I'll work on getting a couple dozen games of 7th in - before OFCC lol. And I played one learning game of 6th. It looks tough to me - but I know nothing really about the current meshing of rules and things. -d

Most is already painted - I will plop some ws turrets on some falcons I dot use (painted long ago) - the wraith knight and the hornets are the biggest paint projects. - everything else needs nothing or minor touch ups. ;)

I am wondering about using a wall… not sure where to get the points yet - but I did pick up a defensive wall (Eldar version of a Aegis Defence Line) from Cmon last year that is unpainted. Using BattleScribe … not sure how accurate it is yet. I will double check all the points this weekend - but it comes in at 2,000 exactly.
