hmmmm well looks as if my harlequins will be mostly standard Eldar… with some allied units from the DE book so far… but I will wait till things shake out

last read was that Harlequins are not in the book… we shall see. But now my hope is that means Harlequins could be on track for their own supplement :)

excellent - thanks fix! this will help me noodle through the concept on this idea :)
Now I need to wait till the weekend and see what kinda dark harlequin list I can build. So far what I read about webway portals is ok - depending on whom can get them. BUT - I can always do a combined army or an unbound army - So I think this concept is solid for me right now.
I am eager to hear about how it went as well… but again it all depends on what I do when the DE codex comes out and what it does to the harlequin options. --- if I am unbound… or not etc.
I liked the one mission where you only got cards…for the objectives you held. it kept the cards to a minimum…. but on the flip side - it only benefited greatly the person "winning" lol.
I think a draw up of cards at the start or early in early rounds of a game - without further cards drawn could be better. not sure. But for OFCC - where winning isn't to be as important - i guess its not that bad to me.

i had no issues myself with the vancouver location - nice walk to food - free parking… and actually the drive wasn't much different. I had some games around the edges of the area and they were ok - but I had one game in the center (near center) and I had a hard time hearing my opponent - before the max came by lol. The concrete ceilings probably need some sound dampening :)

Maelstrom is fun - I did like it myself - and its perfect for an OFCC even in my opinion. I just found it daunting after a couple rounds being in a deep deep hole of card points - purely on random card draws. Bad enough the dice screw me from time to time LOL. But its all in good fun - right?

Thanks for your guesses AP…
well - not sure exactly what I will be trying to do here yet - waiting on the DE codex this weekend. But planning a revision of a Harlequin army - based from the DE book potentially. BUT the theme I plan to go for is a circus or a carnival. Which would include circus "tents"… maybe some twisted rides. But the idea I am toying with it that the tents would be sized and built to be possibly counts as strongpoints… maybe. Sizes and army list points realities would have a huge influence on that for sure. But even if the points don't add up for a play-able list - they could still work for APOC games lol. So I may as well plan now - to get the sizes comparable.
My first thought was a large evil/gothic circus tent… but now I am thinking about smaller tents that would be closer to the strong point sizes. It is all very vague in my head and sketches for now. This is more of a mental feasibility noodling session right now. But it may kinda solve the problem with getting normal harlequins into battle lol. Massively chaotic - and it could be fairly disastrously fun. Crazy?
Possibly OFCC ok - as I did see that at least one army had the Strongpoint with missiles :)

I am thinking about next year - OFCC - and an idea I have for some custom terrain. I want to do some "counts-as" things and I am curious as to the basic sizes of the Aquilla Strongpoint and the weapon battery mostly... Footprint size (area) and height if possible. Also I am interested in the physical size of the Fortress of Redemption.
I will need to check the book and my options as to points costs when I get home :)

Yeah we were both shocked and amazed - racing to get out our cameras - lol. I think I was rolling to jink one of my hornets. Hehe
And here is a pic for the thread. And a hint at my next OFCC army ;)
yeah - my display board is simple and clean -
I wanted more but it was nice enough and time…was not there to do more. Now for the fun times - games and hanging out.
