  1. As it turns out one of our teams is going to be short a player and we need one ASAP. If anyone is interested or knows of someone who is interested please contact me. Thanks!
  2. Jay wants some: http://www.ordofanaticus.com/index.php?/topic/21845-want-relic-knights/
  3. Check out a few posts below: http://www.ordofanaticus.com/index.php?/topic/21818-h-relic-knights-cersi-speed-circuit-kickstarter-w/
  4. Powerful units/models will be rated appropriately. Could a win-minded player bring lots of WRs? Sure. Assuming of course the rest of the list is not powered up as well and the whole thing gets rejected. But I can say with certainty that that would up the rating. Perhaps substantially, depending on the list.
  5. I've started (or restarted maybe) a thread for a Mercenary OFCC team. Linky if intested: http://www.ordofanaticus.com/index.php?/topic/21816-ofcc-merc-team/
  6. Indeed. Specific FAQs and Erratas are just that, and for a reason. Those reasons don't always make sense, but that's GW for you.
  7. I know there are at least a few guys looking for a team. If you are, and someone wants to step up as the captain of this motley crew, then post here! It'd be a shame for anyone to miss out just because they don't have a team. You may not get to stand shoulder to shoulder with your friends, but you might get to stand close by! Of course, the usual OFCC criteria must be met (IE previous attendee, someone will vouch for you, et cet.).
  8. The Cohort skinks have missile weapons as well. I'm assuming blowpipes as it doesn't say javelins (which is an even swap points-wise). Either way that is 10 more poisoned shots if javelins, 20 more potentially if blowpipes.
  9. I have a metal apothecary if that is of interest.
  10. I do not think you should be able to virtual pivot into combat either.
  11. I've been too busy not painting to post this thread, but I have thought about doing it.... I still have exactly the same number of models to build and paint now as I did when I came up with my list 8-9 months ago. Actually, now that I think about, it I have more as I decided to pick up and paint a new Hunter rather than upgrade the one I have mostly done. My list: Build and paint: Hunter 4 Sabertusks Stonehorn (still on the sprue :( ) 20 Gnobbers Conversion work on my Leadbelchers Finish painting 20 Gnobbers Highlight my characters, Ogres and Leadbelchers. And work on one of my Giants. That's it I think. I hope.
  12. I'll reiterate that I think the list is fine as well. I am thinking that Hashut is a generally better lore in terms of power than Fire, but that doesn't mean it has to be changed.
  13. I don't know that I am quite ready to give this list a '4', but it is certainly in the neighborhood for all the reasons I stated previously.
  14. Indeed. Good, but not crazy. Certainly not in the rejectable/needs fixin' category. BTW, what lore are you going with? We all know that there are better choices in the magic lores that will affect the power level of a list. I have a guess, but I'll hold onto it for now.
  15. Here are my thoughts: The Old Blood is good! 2+rerollable/4+ward will help him survive and, coupled with the Carnosaur (which I think are under rated and grossly underused) will dish out some wounds. The ScarVet is going to catch some people out with the Egg. Fun item, but will surprise some folks. Unpleasantly I'd imagine. The Priests are not that big a deal, but multiple Wildforms will come in handy! The Saurus (S5-6) and Temple Guard (S6-7) will obviously find this useful, but when applied to the Skinks those javelins get that much better - S4 poison missile weapons are good even if they do only have 12" range. Which brings me to the fact (as I've mentioned elsewhere) lots of poison shooting is better in this monster laden environment than it might be elsewhere and should be rated as such. Not that I think the shooting is OTT or anything - certainly not in a normal tournament - but there are lots of targets that will suffer disproportionately in this field. Massed poison shooting is no bueno for the big fellas. Lastly, the Dreaded Saurian. With the Ethereal (yes, I know it is gone) that one model could easily single handedly wipe out my army (and more than a few others as well). As it is now it is still really, really tough and could put a serious beatdown on my army all by himself. Not only does the Shadow Rebus upgrade ability give you Ambush, but it also gives Swiftstride and it makes Stand and Shoot reactions reroll successful to hit rolls - not too shabby I'd say. Terror, 6 S8 attacks causing D3 wounds per as well as a single Heroic Killing Blow attack at initiative 3 (perhaps 4), 6 T7 wounds with a 3+ save all add up to a very tough monster that will be very difficult for many armies to deal with. Want some extra "fun"? Drop a Wildform or two on this guy! Sure, "cannon it off" will be the mantra. But not all armies have cannons and cannons do not provide a guarantee of anything. A 1 to wound or anything but a 6 on wounds and the Saurian is still on the table. Which leads me to..... I disagree with Myster2's assesment above regarding the removal of the Ambusher being a benefit. If he comes on late you have the opportunity to deal with any warmachines the enemy might have while you're awaiting his arrival. This is also a points denial 'opportunity' wherein if he comes on late your opponent will have little or no chance to take him out, even if he still has/ever had the means to do so. Sure, if you are really unlucky he might not show up every once in a while. But when he does he will wreak havoc upon your foe. And let's not forget that Swiftstride and the Stand and Shoot rerolls come with the ability. All that tallies up in my book as an army that rates better than what it might appear. I will say that the Dreaded Saurian certainly ups the rating somewhat. Veskit is correct, for me at least: I would think this is at least a high 3 for most of the raters. Personally, I feel like it could venture into the '4' neighborhood. I'll reserve that until I see the other lists though.
  16. Are you willing to pay out the ying for it?
  17. 6 S8 attacks and 6 T7 wounds seems really tough with Ethereal. This is definitely going to up the rating on an already good list. Above a 3 for sure (in my book).
  18. No. For the aforementioned reasons I would reject and lobby the committee to do the same, though I doubt I would need to do any lobbying. But, like the rest have mentioned, I dig the theme and in an uncomped event would love to play it.
  19. Challenges are limited to 3 (day one games), so Dimensional Cascade has a full card for Saturday. I'm hoping to catch them on Sunday - I played Mr. Ricky Fischer and his fabulous Goblin army at a Seattle GW GT several years ago and would love to let him have a chance to get even. I don't know if he would remember the game, but it was a pretty memorable one for me. I was playing Skaven and plopped my Tunneling Gutter Runners marker right in the middle of his huge Night Gobbo units and he was incredibly nervous of them coming up and causing his Fanatics to tear thru his own units. I managed to get of a Plague spell that did some serious damage to a few of his units and there was a cascade of panic.
  20. Cool, thanks! That Necrofex looks interesting. On paper he seems good, but I've never played (with or against) one so it could be deceiving.
