  1. Ha! I was referring to the combined in to one book from 2-3ish books, not the whole lot. Though Warhammer did start out that way oddly enough. If GW goes far enough back in the regurgitation machine we might just get there again........
  2. I don't know that they would be a combined army in the way the Elves and Chaos are, but I would think a combined book. As in one book with multiple, separate armies in them. How the armies, especially the "non-related" ones, would interact if they were to combined into a mixed race list is unknown. At least at this point, but only GW knows what the final outcome will be.
  3. Ah, the good ol' days of the (in it's prime) Ratling Gun - I rolled up 20 hits one time lol. I never played a SAD list, but I do remember the hate for it. Good times. Edit: I never sued with a SAD list I should say. I faced a couple; they were the bane of my Khorne legion.
  4. @generalrippenhook: That is about my guess, assuming you are combining Skaven and Lizzies - they do have a history after all and I don't think we will be seeing any individual army books this edition. @WarlordGhrom: The underground book sounds plausable as well. And the other is as likely as my guess too.
  5. While I agree wholeheartedly with Raindog, I am of the same opinion as ML. I think the ET is a sign of the future. I don't know how long these books will last into 9e, but I would lay a heavy bet on combined books. Undead and Chaos are just a new incarnation of previously combined books, Elves will be another single book. I think Empire, Brets and dwarves are a likely combo and the rumor is that Skaven and Goblins are featured in the next book. That leaves Lizardmen and Ogres (and Orcs I guess, though I suspect they will be in with the Gobbos) without an obvious home. As an Ogre Kingdoms player I hope they find one, and I wouldn't be too surprised if the Lizzie's jumped in their saucer and bailed. Wait and see I suppose. I will say that I hope the 9e rules reel in some of the ET craziness, if this is indeed the foundation of the future of WHFB.
  6. @Murphy - thanks, that is the confirmation I equals looking for. @NtK and RD - I'm with you fellas!
  7. I don't see where you get that. The page pictured above just says to roll 4d6 for the Winds of Magic. The reason I inquired as to whether or not the rules gave a specific example of how many dice are in a separate Dispel Pool is, to me, it sounds like (with the info on that page) there are 4d6 dice in both the Dispel and Power pools. The "take the highest d6" is in the BRB and is a 'normal' way of determining the number of Dispel Dice. This End Times rule set says to do things differently from the BRB, as listed on the page in the pic. I contend that, unless there is a specific mentioning elsewhere in the book, that the 4d6 is generating both the number of PD and DD.
  8. Does it say on a different page (different than the one posted) that the single highest of the 4d6 rolled for the Winds of Magic is the Dispel Pool?
  9. I foresee some loooonnnngggg magic phases ahead of us........
  10. There are mostly simultaneous happenings, but I think they are best read in order. But if your main interest is the Elf-centric events you will be ok I'd say.
  11. I've been reading that for casting and dispelling a wizzie rolls a d6 and that is the number of dice they get to use. After declaring the wizzie and spell they are going to attempt. So you could declare a big spell only to roll for 1-2 dice to throw at it. Or the dispeller could roll 5-6 on their dispelling die and shut it down. I'm wondering if the 4d6 will be the number of power dice generating rolls you get (ie you get 4 casting attempts, each generating d6 dice). Nothing to substantiate it, just a guess. I fear that this will lead to grossly feast or famine magic phases, which I have no affinity for whatsoever. Randomly randomized randomness - like we need more of that. Sheesh. Maybe in place of a game of Warhammer we will just stroll up to the table and, instead of the roll off for table sides, we each cast a die and call that game.....
  12. 25 is no big deal - we're really talking a 21 with the L4 bonus, which is exactly average on 6 dice. Even easier with a Power Scroll. Or a pair of 6's.
  13. Hopefully scenario specific. Otherwise it just seems dumb.
  14. I have all your wants except the skycutter. All new, bare plastic - some still sealed in the box. Once you get a few more posts you can send and receive PMs.
  15. I am playing my DoC as such and not Legions. I suspect I will do the same with my Dark Elves (like ML I've never found my DE units lacking), though I will admit that I've held back on selling my HE until I see what the ET treatment of the race is.
  16. I have a set (3) of the same models Chappy is talking about. I also have some new plastic bikes/bikers, unassembled that could combine into what you need. PM me if you're interested.
  17. I have some. One set new on the sprue and one set assembled and primed black. I also have some Lizzy items I am looking to move. PM me and we can work something out.
  18. I would guess that there will be Swedish updates, but perhaps not until all the End Times books are out. They are diligent with their updates.
  19. That is kind of the point I was making as well. If we get an influx of new players drawn by what appears to be GW's current MO then we need to be prepared for that. At least when we go to 'regular' tournaments.
  20. I have a razordon, new bare metal. Well, his tail is primed white (good job, not blobby) but that's it. PM me if you are interested.
  21. A couple of thoughts: I think I like the Daemonic Instability rules better than the Unstable/Unbreakable combo. The theory I've seen put forth is that by making Lords/Heroes a bigger part of the army GW will entice more new players with a lower model count and cheaper entry price point. If that holds true I think that a shift may be forced upon us. Outside our own game rooms and the OFCC, of course. If we plan to play outside our bubbles then we need to be prepared for the next incarnation of the game. We don't know what the new edition will bring, but some of the writing is starting to show up on the walls....
