For me, the hardship in purchasing it or the Big rebel ships is much like FW or Super Heavies/Apoc in pre-7th ed. How often are you likely going to use it? If it's mostly house/pick up games, I'd go for it. If you just like the model and plan on having it on display because you have 100 bucks laying around to spend on plastic to just sit there....although that sounds suspiciously like most of my plastic, just sitting there....lol I'm holding off on the big ships, myself, for those reasons. If I'm going to drop 100+ on something right now, I'd rather get a couple board games to engage more of my non-gamer friends. Which I think is most of them. Hmm. Yeah, none of the people I regularly hang out with play 40k. A couple of them play X-Wing with me. We're trying to get a (board) Gaming group together. Thankfully several have experience with Ticket to Ride and Munchkin, non-standard RISK, etc.

I thought the game was 1:270 scale, wouldn't that put it at like 20ft? Oh yeah, the larger ships they've been scaling down even more. Even then, a 6ft ISD would be like 1:875, which i don't think is the scale the Corvette and Medium Transport are. Regardless, yes, there are the reasons for the smaller "Capital" ships being the limit of what we see in the game. Sadly.

I'd get in on Armada from the beginning to avoid falling behind or having to buy this that the other and some of those to be able to have an edge of any sort. I'd still pick up X-Wing, but keep to the second hand market for it. Have your cake and eat it, too!

Yeah, that's how I thought it worked with the Primaris Power. Yes, the 2 Knights would cost my wallet double the 12 Termies, that is an observation I hadn't made, yet. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I haven't played Grey Knights in over a decade, not since DH. So a lot of their aspects have changed. The 2 Libs and 10 Termies were just approx points, and I didn't know what upgrades would come to. There would be 745+ to play with if I dropped 2 of the Knights. The detachment issue is something to consider, for sure. Going that route would be 2 detachments and would require the TO to allow LoW. Going with just the Archangels and the Knights skirts the LoW issue.

Would running the 12 GK Termies in place of 2 Imperial Knights make this list more competitive? More Versatile? More fun to face?

Not to get off topic, but it looks like if I went with the 10 GK Termies and the 2 TDA Libbies, I'd want to take Telepathy at least twice on both the Libbies, if not for all 3 choices on each. I'd be getting the primaris for free, and rolling 3 powers on the table, correct? I think Shrouding would benefit Anything it was near, so works well as an Invis-Lite. Although NSF lets you run and shoot after DS, which could work well with Gate. I couldn't see Invisibility being a waste on any of the units in the list. It'd just be more effective on some, than others, depending on the context. Or I can just KISS and stick with eating face and blasting loads.

If I went the Malefic route, I think I'd paint up a couple of each u.....dammit, then I may as well play CD if I'm talking about having a few each of 20 different units.... I think I'll stay away from Malefic.

It's not their acting that loses it for me. Franco is a consistent actor, and Rogan is the modern Sandler in my book. That doesn't change that the only redeeming thing in the movie for me was the Scorpions - Wind of Change. The movie and all this bull crap for the past few weeks is more like Paris Hilton leaking that sex tape just before that show she did with her BFF came out. Hot Shots! Part Duex was hands down a better movie. I have no desire to watch it again. Like, I'd dip out instead of watching it at a friends. That puts it below a 2 to me. I would have rather spent that time we spent watching it sitting in silence listening to the dull commotion of the 19 year olds partying across the alley. I would have preferred the sound of awkward silence. Hard pressed to give it a 1, at that point. :) I didn't care for Pineapple Express, either.

I could free up 600-750 points by taking a single Knight or Gerantius instead, but that would put me at 2 formations plus a LOW. Is this permissible in your local tourney scene? I could use those points on a Nemesis Strike Force with a 10 man Termie Squad and two Lvl 3 Libbies. One of the libs could ride with the sternguard of with Terms as needed. It would look something like: Archangel Sanguine, Nemesis Strike Force, Imperial Knight LOW 10 Vanguard Vet 10 Vanguard Vet 10 BA Sternguard Vet w/Lvl 3 GK Libby in Storm Raven 10 GK Termies w/Lvl 3 GK Libby Imperial Knight 30 PA 12 TDA 1 Storm Raven 1 Knight Still a Low Body Count allowing for the easy unique modeling options. A lot less physical fire power, but is it a more viable list? Could I do something similar with Inquisition instead of GKs? Could I get a hefty handful of Psychic Power Dice and whatever else I needed using them? Although, if I went that route, I think I'd want to have them be daemon worshippers and try for summoning Khornate Daemons, cuz B4tBG

I was thinking about doing this as Loyalists, not my Nightlords that I was mentioning previously. The list is pretty straight forward, the Archangels Sanguine Formation and a 3 Knight Primary detachment. 30 Marines, 3 Knights, 1 Stormraven. Not very many models. Lots of room for unique modeling in so few models without feeling overwhelmed. My question is, how would you suggest progressing it in a League environment? I can't do the formation until 1000 points, so I'd be running it as an unbound list if I'm not adding anything else? I mean, if all the Sternguard have Combis, I can't run it as 2 x 5 man tact squads. Not without using magnets. Although, with 30 Marines being the max, that's not too much in the way of magnet work. Thoughts? Do I need to concern myself with Psychics in 7th?

His youtube channel, Grudunza, is no longer active and has had all it's content deleted. I only spent 3 minutes using google etc to figure that out. Maybe if you have more motivation than I do? But 7 years collecting dust....

How does it play in regards to teaching 10-12 year olds?

Stepford Wives 2/5 Remake of the 70s flick based on book of the same name I guess? It wasn't a horrible movie. I wouldn't go outta my way to watch it again. It's too bad they made it a feel good movie, the premise has a lot of potential otherwise. The Joneses 3.5/5 Mulder and Bruce Willis' Ex wife play sales people with a gay son and a slutty daughter. I didn't know what it was going into it, but it was enjoyable. A bit slow at times, but I'd watch it again.

How does that Archangel Formation handle a Pair of Lit Claws for a Van Vet? Does the Codex have a second one at a reduced cost or anything? Not that paying full price for a single pair when you've managed to NOT pay for a PW/LC on the other 9 guys isn't that big of a tax lol I run my Nightlords as Blood Angels, and pretty much run the formation already, so it looks pretty tasty if I'm going to bring my army inline with 7th edition.

Clue 3/5 It was enjoyable, especially considering when it was filmed. The various endings were amusing and well done. It would make for a great play, as is, much like RHPS. I'd watch it again in a group setting while geeking out, but I doubt I'd put it on just to watch. Maybe to watch with someone who hasn't seen it.

I'm thinking this is the thing people were talking about before, between the size of a Contemptor and a Knight. I mean, it is a logical step, to be sure. I wonder, how difficult it would be to rig the legs like a chicken walker? Yes, we have no picture of the legs yet.
