  1. looking good. It shouldn't really change anything on your end, but makes it easier for me to find everybody.
  2. also. i've sent you an invite to the ordo fanaticus guild on yaktribe. We had a heck of a time finding where the accept button was, but poke around and see if you can find it.
  3. Grenades are wargear, so your model will have them every time they hit the field. They do however, have the grenade rule, which means they have to test for an ammo check anytime they're used. Often a ganger ends up only bringing one to the battle. grenade launchers are very good, in general, but they do take up one of a models 3 weapoon slots. General consensus is that you have to buy the model with frag and krak as a basis, but can then add any of the additional ammo types during a campaign.
  4. Looks pretty solid. You’ll be super set for any missions that allow full squads, and should be able to weather injuries and recovery time pretty well. The downside of numbers in necromunda is that occasionally your crew will get ambushed, and you may have to randomly draw which members take part. Lasguns are great all around, and if you start adding sights, or hot las packs they can pack even more punch. Smoke grenades are a good idea until folks start getting photo visors. Normal grenades or booby traps will probably be a good investment as they develop as well.
  5. Sounds great. We’ll definitely have some folk filtering in, so I’ll plan to do matchups/demos in waves to suit.
  6. So, been doing some reading. Versatile weapons are definitely strong. It looks like the most sensible/intended ruling is that, you don’t need to charge, you can fight as a basic action anytime you’re within your melee range (2”,3” or 4” depending), but you of course only get a bonus attack for charging when you have charged. (As well as any other bonuses that trigger when charging...). I think you are also able to stop short - either not moving your full charge (although I may rethink this) or ending your charge successfully despite not being in base contact. this is likely the opposite of what I said during the game.
  7. On January 11th, at 1:00, we’ll be hosting a kickoff event for our Necromunda Campaign. Bring a 1000 credit gang and be prepared for some mayhem. Gangs should follow the normal restrictions, and all chosen skills should be unique. We’ll aim to do some quick multiplayer scenarios, draw territories, tactics and challenge cards, and then play some of the quick scenarios from the recent White Dwarf supplement. The Pit Fight scenario and the Meat for the Grinder scenarios are high on my list of likely missions. You don’t need to attend the kickoff to join in the campaign, nor do you need to commit to the campaign to participate in the kickoff event, but any xp, credits, weapons or injuries that your gang earns will carry on into the campaign. It should be a fun way to jump into the campaign, and make sure everyone knows who their potential rivals are. Hope to see you there!
  8. Yeah, I understand both sides of the matter, but don’t think allowing enforcers trading post access automatically breaks the game. In general, as an arbitrator and as a player, I’m generally pretty lenient, as long as I get the sense that folks are using the options for flavor and story, rather than to make game breaking combos or spam a certain type of weapon. I like the idea, overall, of Enforcers having a restricted weapons list, but don’t want to squelch anyone’s hobby or gameplay dreams. A cool option could be to use something similar to the alignment rolls for Illegal weapons that is in the Book of Judgement, for weapons that aren’t in their house list, after any game where they’re used, and track the number of times they fail. You could think of it as a patrol that’s being pushed to the edge with the chaos in the hive, having to break protocols, and getting slapped on the wrist by higher ups who don’t understand what’s really happening, for doing so. Having the gang splinter into a Venator band at the end of the campaign, and having to face down the straight laced rule following cops could be a really fun story arc to explore. Who watches the watchmen, as it were... tl:dr don’t cause problems and it won’t be a problem.
  9. Questions or concerns about this, Ish? Feel free to chat with me about your plans, if you’re concerned while building models. The Uprising Campaign doesn’t actually allow for any mechanics to use the trading post or black market, so it’s more pertinent in a Dominion or Law and Misrule campaign, but I’m planning to modify that, with some availability in the early weeks, or allowing purchases as scenario rewards.
  10. We’ve got a pretty solid variety, so whatever you’re feeling, should be great!
  11. Hey all! The top post has been updated. I'll aim to add some additional clarifications, but it should be largely set for the campaign. Happy to talk through any of the details during game nights, as well. thanks for reading!
  12. Nope, that’s totally on me. The info is there, but not super prominent... edits incoming... Planning to start the event at 12:00, but regular Ordo Game night will be at 4, so if someone came late, you could still likely get some games in. We’ve got a few folks that play off and on at game nights, and hopefully we’ll see some of the folks that play at Guardian Games on Tuesday. I’d also love to see it being played a little more regularly. Would love to see you there!
  13. 1 butcher is the only requirement. All of the house gangs are limited in only being able to start with 2 champions, so 2 cutters would feel pretty right.
  14. The dark uprising box comes with 15 models, 6 initiates (juves) and 9 champ/skinners. that should be plenty for the bulk of a campaign any variety of khorne berserkers, blood sworn muscle dudes, etc, would work very well if you don’t want to get ahold of the corpse grinders You could convert a few initiates to have some of the (very limited )ranged options (basic pistols, flamer, heavy flamer or harpoon launcher) which would definitely drive cost up as well. if anybody wants assistance in getting access to any of the rulebooks, shoot me a message, and I should be able to help sort something out.
  15. Yep. Ian’s got it in a nutshell. I’m working on finalizing all of my write up for the campaign, I’m certainly going to aim for some kooky happenings, and optional sub-plots. We may add some small bonuses, but a 1000 pt gang, following the restrictions listed in the gang’s relevant gang composition will be the starting point.
  16. I’m going to aim to attend, ready to do necromunda or warcry demos/games, but there’s a moderate chance my schedule will go sideways to deal with some recent life events. I’ll of course post up and pm if I’m unable to attend.
  17. Have you been craving adventure, conquest and chaos? Looking to make your mark on the Eightpoints, and rise to Archaon’s right hand? Announcing Try the ‘Cry, Ordo Fanaticus’ first learning tournament for Warcry. Kicking off at Noon on New Years Eve, at the Ordo Clubhouse, grab a warband and try your mettle. Never played before? Don’t have a warband? Not a problem! We’ll start with a brief demo, and missions will be staged to help you get your head around this quick-to-learn ruleset! And we’ll have warbands to lend out, just to get your feet wet. Bring a roster or list for 1000pts, figures, dice and tokens if you’ve got them, and be ready to let out your Warcry! Varanscribe is a great tool for roster building, and feel free to message me for any other questions, suggestions or oaths to the dark gods of chaos. Cost is just your regular Game Night Dues, so $5 or reduced rates for Warlords and Emperors. And if you’ve never been to the clubhouse before, it’s absolutely free!! I’ll start a list here of people with warband a to lend, or looking to borrow, and try and help coordinate as needed. warbands to lend: 1. @ninefinger Iron Golems, Leigons of Nagash, Gloomspite Gitz 2. @scottshoemaker Iron Golems, Nighthaunt, Stormcast, Chaos Warriors 3. @Jay Iron Golems looking to Borrow 1. 2. 3. 4.
  18. If anybody picks up a white dwarf this month and doesn’t want the necromunda pamphlet that’s in it, you’re wrong. Start playing necromunda. Join our campaign. if that didn’t convince you, I’d love to get ahold of extra copies to have available to loan at the clubhouse. I’m happy to pay shipping, etc, or even buy them if you’re gonna make me pay for something you want to throw away. pms or mentions in this thread to let me know. I’m sure we’ll get a couple copies from regulars, but I figured I’d ask.
  19. Has @Witstealer been in contact @Hodor? Am I remembering that that set is still in the locker?
  20. Also. Just to mention again, there’s a fantastic tool for roster building over at https://yaktribe.games/underhive post up your forum name over there, or pm me on either ( @ninefinger on either ) and I’ll get you added into the campaign anytime youve got your gang built. hoping to have a rules, etc post up soon. Life has been kicking butt lately, but more specifically, mine...
  21. If we can hook in @MOONEY I believe he’s been leaning towards van Saar. @scottshoemaker played van Saar in the last round, and I don’t know whether he’s been hobbying away in secret. @Josiah has mentioned Orlocks or some type of cult, and if @paxmiles’s interest hasn’t drifted on to greener pastures he had some chaos cult gangers that are ripe for updating with the book of ruin rules. @Jay and Michael ( is it @Magister Mike?, sorry if that’s a mistag...) have fielded Escher in the past. @Aaron W mentioned esher might be his first inclination (remind me to pm you about a box I may have for cheap) @scotthartman May have been lost to Bolt Action temporarily, but has promised to pop in for occasional npc duties with his enforcers or salvage mining weirdos. He could even see a return of Ed and little beef, if his ash wastelanders are in for crushing a desperate hive. @In Matt We Trust fielded his cawdor last time, and I presume that’s where his love still lies. @Salty Monkey was leaning cult so far. there’s other folks out there I haven’t heard from, or just plain forgot... whoops im happy to return Delaque to the table, or Goliaths, and have genestealer cult, helot cult and corpse grinders waiting in the wings, if my holiday break allows for me to smash out some painting 🤞
  22. Great idea Burk! Maybe update the thread title to make this more explicit as a change. (Include Monday?) im game for more necromunda, some Gaslands or just general grab ass, should be there right around 4.
