  1. I might as well get it over with. I'll take that game Chappy. ????
  2. Brake fluid is such nasty stuff. I wouldn't recommend it just cause it's 7 levels of terrible for you and anything it touches. The dollar store sells a bathroom cleaner called 'purple power' or some such. It basically looks like a purple windex- a soak in that and an old toothbrush removes most paint from, just about anything.
  3. My Nurgle AoS army was easily the one I enjoyed painting the most! ???? You'll have a blast doing up this army
  4. Thanks for the game tonight! I plan on being back next week!
  5. I'm gonna try to make it- but it looks like my next few Tuesday nights will be eaten up with work. I'll have to appeal to the bosses for free Tuesday's.
  6. I played a game in this format with my admech- I just merged the two groups but kept their unique abilities separate. It worked fine- the canticles are fairly underwhelming anyway- IMO One thing you may have forgotten, Bryan- the elimination of skyfire
  7. It's not a dig on those players- I just don't play that way- thus I don't usually enjoy games with them. I have played fun games with them- but often, for both of us- it's kinda a waste of time. I like the idea of evening the play field and bringing casual players together again.
  8. All debates aside, enjoying a game is subjective. I appreciate that I won't need to study all the newest formations or books or white dwarfs in and out to have a clue about what is going on. Really I just want to play the game again- and it's been pretty hard to find casual games lately around here- at least with players who aren't just going to completely power game me. I like playing games with people that just play the game casually- and don't have every book, know every rule, study all the boards and refer to themselves as 'generals'- it's really hard to find those players. I still want to use an aegis defence line and I still want to know if I can use inquisitors and assassins.
  9. Can I use an aegis defense line pls. You know it won't save me...
  10. Rhuntar, I've been off the radar this winter with sickness and family death but when I return I'd really like to play some Frostgrave with you if you are interested.
  11. You are surprisingly passionate about these little plastic naked dwarf figures. I think they look pretty cool. I'm not gonna buy any, but they look pretty nice to me. Good sculpts, like most of the stuff GW has released for AOS. That is subjective of course.
  12. I'm not sure I understand the summoning sideboard? You make a 1500 point list but keep an additional 500 points off board just to summon? Why not just have all 2k be the list with the option of holding whatever you want to summon off table, and the ability to bring dead pile units back in. Giving a list an extra 500 points to access at will gives a distinct point advantage. What about lists that kinda use summoning, but kinda don't, like my "Nugles Deluge" list? I think just setting a list of "this is the total number of points of models I brought to play with today" is the way to go.
  13. I'm gonna be working. Tis the season to pick up mucho cash as a catering chef.
  14. Their isn't a single rule stating you can't ally tomb kings with chaos. Thematically it may not be an easy fit, but otherwise you most certainly can.
  15. SCROLLBUILDER SDK points system. Less complexity more game play. Just my two cents. Fan based points system with an easy to use interface.
  16. Dunno. The formations are available without buying the whole book, I think they are 3 bucks or something. I think it's kinda shiesty of them to do that- but GW is a really terrible company to their fans, so it's not a surprise. I don't think that the formations and scenarios are required to create enjoyable games at all.
  17. The models are the best I've seen in any tabletop game. They are also really expensive. That said, the game lends itself really really well to allowing the player to use the models they love- not just the ones the HAVE to, to win. You won't find yourself entranced by a beautiful model only to find it's useless in the game. The rules are free- that's it. The books are akin to a 40k codex- they give fluf, story, formations and scenarios- but the rules for the game and induvidual models to play the basic game are totally free. The player base on all GW stuff seems gonzo to me right now. 40k is too competitive and AoS is rickety with a weak core of players. I love it, and I hope more people come to play it-
  18. Power went out at my house and I felt kinda guilty ditching my wife to a dark empty house- took her to a movie instead. If anyone wants to play Frostgrave lemme know
  19. I'll be there with frostgrave
  20. I'll play ya on Tuesday. I have the day off so any time works for me
