  1. I refer you back to John Gabriel's G.I.F.T., which tailors my expectations to assume anyone anonymous on the internet is being a troll.
  2. The dude is running around with the screen name "GodTrump2020." I think it's safe to assume he was looking to troll some Anti-Trump folks. But, yes, the fact that some folks are so emotionally fragile that any mention of the president is enough to upset them is a problem. Trolls picking on them is a problem, the fact that they're so easy to pick on is a problem too.
  3. The Codex Astartes names this manuver "Steel Rain"! We will descend upon the foe, we will overwhelm them, we will... Oh, crap. Air Force Drops Humvee Onto Neighborhood
  4. Let's face it, some people are so around the bend in their opinions of Pres. Trump that any mention of him is enough to troll them.
  5. It's never going to be a standout performer. It's a battle taxi. You use it because a squad of Chaos Marines can't move 12" to get from their deployed position to the midfield objective... and once it drops them off, you find some other use for it. Wedging itself between two buildings to block the enemy's movement for a turn or two isn't a glorious use, but its can be a useful delaying tactic. Running it into the squad of chaff Imperial Guard Conscripts that are "bubble wrapping" the Command Squad, forcing them out of position so your Berserkers can charge in... Again, an inglorious job, but a useful one. Things like that. Can you build a competitive WH40k force without Rhinos? Of course you can. But that doesn't mean the Rhino is without use. (Also, this seems like a good time to make an aside where I bring up my pet theory that WH40k in its current scope is played on tables that are too damn small. If you had to cover 36" of ground before you got to the midfield Objective(s) instead of 12", then Dedicated Transports would see their utility shoot through the roof. Look at games like Epic 40,000, Team Yankee, or Flames of War. You'll be hard-pressed to find players that don't bring some sort of APC / IFV for their infantry.)
  6. Luther (complete series) A BBC crime drama starring Idris Elba, as the titular DCI John Luther, a police officer working for London's Serious Crime Unit, meaning he tends to deal with some seriously warped psychos. The heinous nature of the crimes he investigates, combined with his willingness to go outside the law to get the job done, and the corrupt cops and organized crime figures he must, out of reluctant necessity make deals with, fuels the character drama with the serial killer investigations often falling into B-Plot territory. “There’s a difference between getting your hands dirty and being dirty.” as one supporting character tries to explain. Excellent show, but definitely not for everyone.
  7. That's why X-Station One Live or whatever they call it has block lists and mute buttons. But after you press the button, there's no reason to give the guy a second thought. I refer you to the well know Greater Internet Fudgewad Theory:

  9. A first draft map of the main area of a new D&D setting I'm tinkering with. Ten petty kingdoms that have been carved out of the remains of a once mighty empire, that abut a dangerous frontier filled with trolls, ogres, and other nasty critters. I've still got a lot of work to do, but I wanted to share.
  10. Meh, he's hardly the first (and certainly not the last) person to be a troll in online gaming. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Da Old Ways mean every single Boy has a 17% chance to ignore anything that would have killed him, that's not a lot on its own... But when you're looking at three or four mobs of thirty-strong Slugga Boyz running at your lines, it's going to get really annoying really quick. I'm thinking the Snakebites aren't going to be the most popular of choices, but I think they'll be a good choice for anyone who really wants to commit to a green-tide horde. t's just too bad Space Orks don't have Boar Boyz anymore, since that was by far the most Snakebite-y unit in the army.

I'm just happy to see the Ork Clans return.
  13. The Rhino is T 7 / W 10 / Sv 3+ and holds up to ten Infantry models; a Bunker is T 8 / W 12 / Sv 3+ and holds up to ten Infantry models... But it cannot move and costs +20 Points more. The Rhino isn’t meant to be an offensive unit, in and of itself. It’s a light bunker that rolls forward, deposits a squad on or near an Objective, and then acts as a (temporary) terrain piece. You use it more for its physical presence than for its weaponry. Use it for blocking firing lines, choking off movement lanes, nudging away bubble wrap... There’s all sorts of things it can do.
  14. Aren’t the stats for the TIE/ln included in the Imperial upgrade kit?
  15. Hey, plenty of Space Orks and Savage Orcs have had hair squigs!
  16. The Rhino is a mobile bunker against small arms fire... with a Havoc Launcher. That’s all.
  17. Well, @Skkipper did say that he bought the core set and three faction upgrade sets. It would have been a lot less costly to just upgrade one faction.
  18. New editions happen. It’s nice that upgrade kits are even available.

Codex Preview: Deffskulls just went up his morning. They seem to have a pretty solid Kultur trait, nothing tremendously game-changing in the overall style of how an Ork army plays... They basically just get better at doing what Orks do. Objective Secured for all Infantry is nice and combined with the re-rolls and Invulnerable save might really encourage the use of backfield Lootas.

You could probably come up with a reason for any clan to have an emphasis on elite troops.

Blood Axes would have been my choice for a clan that emphasized elite troops. They’ve always been even more prone to imitation of ‘ummie culture than the other clans, so adding some sort of “Ork Battle Kompanie” modeling itself on the Space Marines would fit right in with their long established pattern of imitating Imperial Guard Regiments. Or they could have just introduced a new clan or kult, in addition to the ones that have been around since Rogue Trader.
