  1. I wouldn’t advance it so rapidly. I think you’re meant to “sweat a little” when deciding to bring the Level 3 Advanced Badass or two of the Level 1 Newbies... Maybe +10 points every third week? (Also, Pax, I’m reasonably certain the Roster has a hard cap of 20 models. I’m away from my book though, would need to double check.)
  2. Campaigns are meant to escalate in size over time, so it might be 100 Point Kill Teams to start, then 125 Point Kill Teams later on.
  3. That’s matched play, which is similar to but different from campaign play. In a campaign, you start without any advancements. In a matched play game, say for a tourney, you can start with advancements. Think of it in D&D terms: If your DM says “go ahead and make a tenth level character,” there are rules for doing that... But by default you start at first level.
  4. These one cost money (although he does offer both a multi-map discount and a club discount): http://wars175x.narod.ru/wargameprint/designe.html#pnt01 I’ll keep googling.
  5. Behold! The only living doggo in the Imperium of Man that is not a wolf! May the God-Emperor smile upon him as he bork borks at the xenos, nom noms on the mutant, and grr-arrghs on the heretic. They shall be my finest doggos, these puppers who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them, and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be hekken hueg and have mighty borks. For great walkies shall I lead them and with the mightiest teefs will they be armed. They will be untouched by fleas or worms, no mange will blight them. They will have squeakies, chewies, and nom-noms so that no foe can bribe them. They are my bulwark against the Squirrel. They are the Defenders of the Lawn. They are my Space Woofs and they shall be Good Boys.
  6. I usually take everything I read there with a grain* of salt. But it’s a useful aggregator of links to new Kickstarters, third-party product reviews, and so forth... I simply misremembered what I had read there about this. * And by “grain” I mean “planet-killing asteroid sized rock.”
  7. Huh. I thought I’d seen someone on Natkfa’s site quoting something more official... I was wrong, the only source does seem to be “some guy on Dakka.” I still think it’s probably inevitable that we’ll see an Inquisition release, sooner or later, if the game maintains its popularity.
  8. Two upcoming expansions have been confirmed, at least in name, we still don’t know their contents: Kill Team: Commanders and Kill Team: Inquisition.
  9. No! They’re just lonely and this has damaged their morale. You should buy MORE Ordo dice.
  10. Well, that's dumb... C'est la guerre. Anyway, you should still be able to use Archaon-as-Archaon in freindly matches. I'll certainly be happy to let my orcs `eadbutt him into submission anytime.
  11. Citation needed. Can you point to a rule that says the older lists are to be ignored? The way I look at it is that if I have am given an original list that says "A=10, B=20, C=30, D=40" and then later on I am given an updated list comes out that says now "B=25, C=35, D=20" then whats the value of A? It's still 10, because it wasn't superseded by the new list.
  12. Supersedes, yes, but without entries for Archaon on foot or on horseback, there's nothing to supersede. The older pitched battle profile still stands.
  13. Aww, man... I was really hoping to see some angry tree-elves!
  14. Archaon on foot and horse are both listed in the original Generals' Handbook. I don't have my copy on hand to cite a page number (I'm at work), but he's in there.
  15. “Thorns of the Briar Queen,” eh? Maybe we will finally get some Sylvaneth in the game... I definitely want that heavy-armored goblin, just cause he looks neat.
  16. Well, I bit the bullet and just bought a warband on eBay. Still not sure if I’m going to go with Anglo-Saxons or Anglo-Danes... But in 3-4 weeks when they arrive, I’ll be ready to start defending this sceptered isle from the fury of the Northmen.
  17. I've got little interest in Adeptus Titanicus as is. But, I am hoping it does well, that way maybe GW will bring back Epic: 40,000.
  18. Strength D weapons were removed from the game; Do you really think they’re going to add Strength 34DD?
  19. There’s no way to distinguish a male Necron from a female one. They’re robotic skeletons.
  20. Not on this man’s ship! By the Throne, if I find out that any of my ordinary voidsmen are behaving in such a debauched manner, they’ll taste the bo’sun’s cat! “Unscheduled shore leave”!? That’s desertion, man. “Setting your own sleep schedule”?! Balderdash! You man your post and you lay out on your assigned rack when the ship’s master or his mates tell you to! Absence from duty stations is theft of the captain’s time! Theft of the captain’s time is theft of the resources entrusted to him by the beneficent God-Emperor! There can be no greater crime than to steal from the God-Emperor. You’ll dance a jig with the void a’fore the nearest airlock, you will! By the Throne, have standards fallen so far in the Imperial Guard that this... this... drivel is considered acceptable! DRIVEL! Bos’un, fetch the Master-at-Arms! Have him form press gangs to recruit this colonel’s men into our deck and gunnery crews. Navigator! Begin plotting a course to the Ork-infested nebula of Waagh! Toofbeard. Steersman! When the Navigator gives you a heading, take us away as soon as the press gangs are back... We’ll need three months to reach the nebulae. By that time I’ll have this colonel and his so-called soldiers retrained into proper servants of the Emperor! Even if I have to flog each one of them m’self.
  21. Well, we probably shouldn’t include Necrons (no external sex or gender characteristics), Tyranids (no sex or gender at all*), Orks (asexual fungus), and Knights (can’t see into the cockpit) from the list when counting armies for comparison purposes. But bringing back Sisters of Battle and giving 1:5 or 1:4 female:male heads for the basic Guardsmen squads should really help out. I don’t want to see 1:1 gender parity, I’d just like to see more options. More options is better options! * Although the names for most units introduced prior to third edition are based on archaic and/or obscure insulting terms for b——hy women: hadrian, termagant, dominatrix, harpy, etc.
  22. You really cannot get too hung up on biological differences between the sexes when also talking about soldiers that have been genetically re-engineered to be eight foot tall, acid-spitting, blood-drinking, “eat my enemy’s brain to learn his thoughts,” bench-press-a-light-tank, nigh-immortals... who ride into battle aboard kilometers long weaponized cathedrals that fly through HELL ITSELF during their commute. They really should update the plastic Cadian infantry kit sometime soon... and when they do, I’d hope they include a couple of female faces. There’s got to be room for one or two more heads on the sprue, right?
  23. This is a game where retcons are a canon, in-universe concept. The Historical Revision Unit of the Adeptus Terra is one of the most powerful departments within the Administratum, their leader the Historicus, is not infrequently one of the High Lords of Terra. Their mission is to “correct” the official Imperial historical record to a more “correct” version... If the Ultra-Marines can be “corrected” from their origins as a third-founding chapter created to replace a chapter that had turned to Chaos into a first founded Legion led by a Primarch...? Yeah, we can have female marines added easily enough.
