  1. You know that by saying this in public, you've guaranteed that Nuffle is going to arrange for the hobbits to win a 6-0 victory, inflict permanent armor debuff injuries on all of your blockers, and kill your best blitzer.
  2. They’re saying that Crusade is compatible with Matched Play. That’s the thing I feel like tournament players will hate.
  3. Okay, we’re all leveled up, joined up, and ready to loose.
  4. This Crusade format sounds fantastic to me, but I predict the “tournaments über alles” crowd will hate it. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/06/02/join-the-crusadegw-homepage-post-1/
  5. Well, that explains that... I’ll get things squared away this afternoon.
  6. I’m not sure what else I can do...
  7. They’ve said that all the current codices will remain valid in the new edition (until they’re inevitably replaced by new ones because this hobby is basically just a complex Skinner Box and we just have to have that food pellet) which would imply that the dozens upon dozens of Stratagems in them will continue to work.
  8. Would be a refreshing reintroduction of uncertainty into WH40k; the “Fog of War” is something missing from both of GW’s main two games.
  9. Yes, but the AI doesn’t get upset when I have to hit the pause button and go to work for five hours.
  10. Yup, created them and played a couple of friendlies against the PC.
  11. Or the “Orders Phase” that Imperial Guard players have had for years. Okay, sure, there was technically no such phase... But since you had to issue and resolve Orders prior to the rest of your Shooting Phase actions, it pretty much became a phase of its own.
  12. Eldar bitz seem like they would be very difficult to print, unless you have a resin printer. Too many complex curves and smooth lines.
  13. It’s actually “Silly English Khanighuts,” I really should have picked an easier spelling for my silly made-up word.
  14. Are the blades just attached directly to their wrists... or are they wearing mittens?
  15. My team name will be the “Silly English Khanigits,” although I’ll need to double check the spelling of that.
  16. As I write this, the GoFundMe to help Fred Adair and his family has crossed the $11,000 mark... I'm amazed. I've never actually met Fred in person. I've never set foot in his store. I only know him via Facebook and only because a former co-worker of mine used to be a regular in his store. Fred and I bonded over Facebook with our mutual love of comics, arguing about nonsense, and making fun of each other's beards. But it is obvious to me, even through these limited interactions, that Fred is a damn fine human being. The outpouring of aid from over 200 people in the span of just a few hours and the many supportive comments left on the GoFundMe page, on the Crazy Fred's Facebook page, and elsewhere only serve to reinforce that notion. I've took the liberty of sharing the GoFundMe link the Ordo Fanaticus, here on the forum as well as on Facebook. I know most of you have never been to Crazy Fred's and most of us probably never will... But you many of have clicked that Like button and several of you have Shared the link, and that all helps to "signal boost" the message. Some of you have donated, which is just an amazing act of genuine human kindness. I'm usually a pretty cynical, misanthropic sort... I'm honestly getting a bit choked up watching this outpouring. Please, if you can, chip in a few dollars to help a dear friend and damn fine man. If you can't afford to give money, I understand, but please share the link.
  17. Pop Goes The Monkey is a third-party bitz store that has a really nice range of Deathwatch accessories: shoulder pads, shields, weapons, and all sorts of goodies.
  18. Not part of any of my ongoing projects, but sometimes, ya just gotta paint a dragon.
  19. A dear friend of mine, Fred Adair, was the victim of the riots. His small shop, Crazy Fred’s Cards and Comics, was already on the knife-edge due to the Coronavirus lockdown... Now it’s unlikely to recover at all. Ordo Fanaticus, let’s show him some love. Please, if you can, give what you can. I know times are tight for everyone, but every dollar will help him recover from this. https://www.gofundme.com/f/relief-fund-for-crazy-fred039s-cards-and-comics
  20. I like the occasional 2,000+ Point* game as a friendly match every once in a while or as a capstone to a good campaign. I also enjoy the occasional 5,000+ Point mega-battle every couple of years... But for a weekly “game night” or a drop-in “pick up game,” I’d greatly prefer 1,500 Points be the community standard. * Although, as I outlined earlier, there’s been massive point value deflation over the years.
  21. To be fair, the gnoblars themselves probably don’t have the intelligence to remember them.
  22. I’m hoping to see 1,500 Points become a good, viable game size. That’s enough for a demi-company of Space Marines with one or two supporting vehicles, a platoon of Imperial Guard with a squadron of Leman Russ backing them up, or even a lance of unsupported Knights. Thats my personal “sweet spot” for the game.
