This is Not a Test

So a few of us are looking at doing a short campaign for this game in the near future to really test the system. I was thinking along the lines of maybe 4 weeks with just regular book scenarios.

For those that don't know what the game is it is a small scale skirmish campaign game. It has elements from games such as Necromunda or Mordheim in that your characters gain experience and skills but can also permanently die. You also search the wastes after each battle to find better gear and gain wealth.

The game is set in a nuclear post apocalypse very reminiscent of the fallout video games. The war bands are peace keepers (police or military), caravaners (heavily armed travelling merchants), raiders (self explanatory), tribals (humans that have reverted to primitive ways), preservers (basically the brotherhood of steel), mutants (also self explanatory) and mutant cannibals (think the hills have eyes)

If anyone is interested in the campaign and checking out the rules then please let me know and one of us can hook you up.

Yes to the 400bs.

The creator did release a couple rules early on fb. Normally a weapon with the burst rule requires that you spend all actions on shooting to then gain an additional free shot. So a model with an assault rifle can fire 3 times if he doesn't move or do anything but fire. The change was to smgs and machine pistols. Now with their special version of burst you can move and fire twice. Other weapons with burst still require you to remain stationary.

I like these changes.  Without out them there is no reason to use a SMG.  An assault rifle, which also has the Burst rule,  is only 5 BS more expensive than a SMG and what you get for that small increase is a better range, a better strength, and can be fitted with a bayonet.

I don't see the changes you mentioned in the FAQ & Errata.  Can you provide me a link to them?

These are some of the places I really liked. Supporting worlds end for making the game could be cool. Also they have nice law men type miniatures. That said you should go with whatever you want. Find a theme and run with it. My peacekeepers are going to be converted models from the capital faction in war zone resurrection. But someone else's could easily be a bunch of old school sheriff and cowboy models or some zealous military wing of a theocracy. My peacekeepers will be theme wise kind of fascist bad guys but others could be the heroes of the people. Its all what you're feeling. Develop your war bands story and go from there.

Are all of the factions represented by someone in the campaign so far? I wouldn't mind taking a gander at the rules and redeeming my absence in the latter stages of the Mordheim Campaign.

I think that we'll have enough players that duplicate factions will be perfectly acceptable.

Below are the factions being played.

Wiccus -Raiders

Sherbert -Mutants

Sounder -Preservers

Koyote -Tribals

D_Lo -Peacekeepers

Rat Catchers -?

The "unclaimed: factions are the Caravanners and Mutant Cannibals.  The latter can be downloaded HERE.

There's mention of new factions in the works, Settlers and Renegade Reclaimers, but I have no idea when they will be released.

One thing was brought to my attention. Everyone participating should bring a deck of playing cards in addition to their tape and d10s. The cards are used for post came exploration. Once you use a card in the post game sequence you are supposed to set it aside so that you don't draw it again for the rest of the campaign unless its an extremely long campaign.
