It’s still a 220cm bed though. Yeah, my Enter 3 Neo v2 is EXCELLENT. Thanks for the tip.
Brother Glacius
anyone have a recommendation on a filament dehydrator? I discovered a slight flaw in their designs though when a new spool I got had the break in the actual spool. So it would be useless in most machines as it couldn't spin. I have not found a dehydrator that lets the spool turn over a peg like my printer does.
Torg
hmmmm I have a sunlu one I have been using on spools when they are bad - but I don't run it directly from the dehydrator to the printer. I think it is set up to do so - I just don't have my set up that way. It seems to do the job of dehydrating ok though.
Brother Glacius
so is it more of a one and done? I guess I was surprised to see some "spider silking" when I took a spool out of its sealed plastic bag. Or do I just make sure before I print, dehydrate it each time? Torg
I know you can run from the dehydrator directly to the printer - I just don't. But... yes - if I get a sealed bag that doesn't seem "fresh" like the bag isn't tight and vacuumed tight - I will pop the spool into the dyhydrator for 8-12 hours over night just out of course. And if I am running into a spool with issues like silking or breaking lots - I will pull that spool and run it for a day or 2 in the dehydrator. If I run into the issue with multiple spools from the same vendor I stop buying that brand. I also have a small dehumidifier in my printing enclosure - that's constantly running. I try to not have multiple spools out - and I keep the bags and little silica pouches - and store spools in the bags with extra silica when I am not using them... typically with "special filaments - like rainbow stuff" lol. you can always make a dry box ... a tote with a seal - put dehydrating pouches in it.
scottshoemaker
Just run your machines 24/7. Your spools never have time to absorb moisture. That’s what I do.

scottshoemaker
No. I’ve gotten good at estimating what I can print based on what’s left on the spool. I’m usually within a meter. 2
Torg
I have acquired a Saturn 4k (original Saturn) on a trade - had a blown LCD and had to clean up the insides from a resin overflow. Anyhow, I have it all working wonderfully now - (new lcd and IPA elbow grease). Anyhow, I have a Elegoo Mars 2 Pro - with Mercury 2 - clean & cure with tank (and extras ... ie. extra resin vats, 2nd print plate ... resin) to find a new home. Pictures to follow. All in working order and good to go. 200$ OBO - for the entire set up with extras. -d
Brother Glacius
I would if I could...that is a great deal Torg.
Brother Glacius
Hmmm I might know someone who would be interested, I'll reach out to them and then let you know.
Torg
thanks - its a complete ready to go set up - I would keep it but my wife keeps looking at my growing printer "collection" and with the Saturn I have no need to keep it.
scottshoemaker
I've had to put my first ender 3 into retirement. 4 years of going strong. I'll retool it for test printing, but it's too unreliable for production. I replaced it with my second Ender 3 V3SE. That's my 6th Ender and my 8th FDM printer overall.
dalmer
Sorry if the post is better going in "interesting Kickstarters," and I'll post it there as well but wanted this group's opinion as to whether this would be good for someone to get into the game: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/phrozenmake/phrozen-arco-3d-printer-larger-faster-more-colors?ref=57c1m7
Brother Glacius
I have two questions. I did some 10mm warmaster guys and they came out great...that being said, they seem awfully brittle. Did I over cure them? The wash and cure I have does 2min minimum. I can stop it beforehand though. So...did I overcure...or is it the resin I used? Is there a resin that is naturally softer? I got some minis from Excellent Minis and they are a bit flexible which seems perfect for that scale. But I have no idea what resin will do that. Anyone know?
Torg
I have used "abs-like" resins... they seem better - but can still break.
scottshoemaker
The final hardness is dependent on the manufacturers formula for the particular product line. Recommend researching "flexible" resins.
