I know that games and Gizmos in Redmond will order anything you want. They told me if they get enough people ordering stuff they would start stocking it.
We are indeed playing KoW in Seattle. There is a tournament coming up November 14-15. We often play on sundays as well. There is a Facebook group called Kings of War Washington State. That's the best place to arrange a game.
you guys should try to make it up to seattle area november 14-15 for the 2000pt tournament

KoW is catching on big time up here.
terrain can also be used against flyers to good effect as most of them have TC and not CS. Agreed tho that fighty flyers are hard to deal with. Once they do charge just make sure you are positoned for a counter charge.
I am pretty much done with GW as well. Seattle and BC communities are going full bore KoW. I dont see many KoW posts on here so i am assuming the Portland crowd hasnt picked it up yet. I honestly think KoW will end up being better than Warhammer ever was.
I think because its an unsupported system now and drawing in new players is much more difficult. The community will lose players faster than it gains new ones, which will result in it eventually dieing.
Looking for some of the side pieces for GW modular movement trays. I always had some extra from my kits so hoping others do as well. If you have some let me know and I sure we can work something out. Thanks
i really have to disagree about the model to model instead of base to base measuring not being a thing at all. i will model my guys sword arm pointing straight forward so his sword pokes through the models in front of him.
The difference is fantasy and 40k had/have a base points system to work with. AoS doesnt have that which makes it very tough. I enjoy playing AoS as a casual game and it is great for that, but it i see it failing miserably as a tournament game. Play and enjoy it for what it is (a casual wargame)
yeah the not buying army books is pretty awesome. Personally i find it even more awesome that mantic is making rules for competitor's entire model ranges to be used in their game and giving out the rules for free. I dont think a game can get more accessible than that. I guess all i am trying to say is if we are going to toot GW's horn we might as well toot Mantic's as they are doing even more than GW for the owners of warhammer fantasy models
