  1. I should be in, work is about to get crazy in March, but I should be able to make most Sunday's. Plus, I have been sent to sniff out the trader in Malekith's ranks.
  2. Sweet, your brush puts my army to shame though. At this time my list is 6-0. Tim gave me a big run for my win though. That was not an easy victory.
  3. That was the intention. I don't know if I want to invest the money into the witches, executioners, or the cauldron for that matter. I was just playing with my army book. Plus, with the limited playing options for a 3k list, I am going to work this down to a 2.5k list.
  4. I will not make it for the planetary campaign tonight.
  5. For the most part, I have no dwellers in my list. I only have a level 2 and some warlocks. I rely on combat, believe it or not, to get the job done. Dreadlord on Black Dragon w/1+ armour save, ogre blade, black amulet Master on Manticore w/bsb, 1+ re-rollable armour save, +1 to hit Sorceress on Dark Steed w/level 2, dark magic, dispel scroll 3 units of 10 Dark Riders w/musician, standard, shields, repeater crossbows 10 Cold One Kinghts w/full command, banner of swiftness 2 Cold One Chariots 5 Doomfire Warlocks w/master of warlocks
  6. Am I concerned? No, but I have a fast moving army to get to certain objectives in a pinch. I think Dwarfs will find it hard to get on the move for some of the scenario points.
  7. I think you will do fine at the brawl. Just remember about the scenario objectives. Those could be the game changers. With all of your fast movement you could steal the win in later turns.
  8. I don't think it will much better than a hellblaster. Smart opponents could still use cover.
  9. I don't think it needs to be toned down. I would only suggest trying to get banners on your knights for the combat res, unless you are going to use them as counter chargers.
  10. Yeah, I was really scarred once you rolled for your spells. Even so that was one of the best games I've played. Very good, you're definately a great general with a great army. Without all my re-rolls, I don't know if I would have been able to do what I did. ASF with MP is clutch. You are the first person to effectively take my dark riders out of the game that fast.
  11. Thanks for some great games tonight. I had a lot of fun. Tim, that was a brutal game. Lots of killing from both sides.
  12. After some discusion and looking through the book (very quickly though), I would suggest a flame cannon. That is a great opener for the gyros on units with regen.
  13. That's a great starting force for Skaven. A hellpit would be an excellent addition for your army. You could skip on the bell, it's fun but not mandatory.
  14. I would suggest Light. It has some great buffs which are underestimated.
  15. I don't think the 5 man route is sufficient. Too many fast cav and skirmisher units have ranged attacks to just make them useless. I will assume that the attack they receive from dying is only in close combat, correct? They will be easy points for your opponent, if so.
  16. I know it's a mute point at this time; however, with +1 to hit with dwarven handguns it was made up for.
  17. Without looking at the book, I have nothing to critique. However, I will say that I am glad to see that you need to roll to hit with organ guns. They were too OP without needing to roll to hit.
  18. Most buffs and/or debuffs are hexes and augments. If the rune only dispells RIP spells then it's piss against the augments and hexes that rule the magic phase.
  19. So, I was thinking about the various 3k events in the future and I began to think about a new army with new units/models. Here is a 3k list I've come up with. Dreadlord w/heavy armour, sea dragon cloak, cold one, ogre blade, talisman of preservation, the other tricksters shard Supreme Sorceress w/level 4, lore of shadow, dark steed, ring of hotek, dispel scroll Master w/great weapon, heavy armour, sea dragon cloak, cold one Master w/great weapon, heavy armour, sea dragon cloak, cold one Master w/great weapon, heavy armour, sea dragon cloak, cold one Death Hag w/BSB, witch brew, cauldron of blood 10 Dark Riders w/musician, standard, shields, repeater crossbows 10 Dark Riders w/musician, standard, shields, repeater crossbows 15 Witches 15 Witches 5 Cold One Knights w/full command, banner of swiftness 30 Executioners w/full commad, standard of discipline Repeater Bolt Thrower Repeater Bolt Thrower Repeater Bolt Thrower Repeater Bolt Thrower 5 Doomfire Warlocks So, the cauldron has 4 units to chose from to join; either unit of witches, executioners, or cold one knights. Why the executioners? With the witch brew they gain frenzy and with the bound spell from the cauldron they will have 3 attacks each at S6. If the cauldron joins the cold one knights, which is where the characters on cold ones are going, the masters will have 4 attacks or 5 attacks with the bound spell. The Dread Lord would then get 5/6 attacks. That's 17/21 S6 attacks from the characters. The idea is to cram the executioners and cold ones down my opponents throat as fast as possible. The witches and dark riders can deal with chaff while the RBT's just shoot stuff.
  20. Raindog, could you bring your book to game night tomorrow? I would love the chance to look at it.
  21. Nephren, That sounds perfect. I'll take on double dragons! See you then.
  22. I just want the army book. I am highly interested in this book. I don't have any plans for starting a Dwarf army. My eyes are set on Chaos Dwarfs. Who knows, this book my swing my decision.
