  1. A good friend of mine up in Vancouver. Does excellent work! http://www.nwcustomfirearms.com/
  2. What is stopping anyone from using any old SM and putting a unusual gun on it?
  3. I sent the shop a PM to see if the spot is still available...
  4. Awwww....that was a system I liked.
  5. Strange times indeed! Wonder what all this will look like in a year? Does the CEO actually care now? Have to wonder...
  6. GG still has a big stock of Fantasy/AOS....Nexus games has old stock of random Fantasy and a few new AOS releases in limited quantity. As far as the popularity of either....it is hard to say. No Fantasy/AOS being played at Nexus and a bit at Guardian. It is kind of hard to figure out if AOS will be around much longer. The price points on AOS keep going on the level of 40K if not much higher.
  7. WHOA! Not a big fan of the model though. The armor is clunky looking. I like the High Elf dragon...that looks like a cool dragon.
  8. A few quick things: 1) Yes you will have a loud compressor. Unless it is whisper quite compressor or one with a 6+ gal tank it will always be on 2) Do you use an airbrush friendly paint or a PP/GW paint strait from the pot? You will need to thin PP/GW paint with a flow improver (you can get a Testors brand at Michael's) 3) Always break down your airbrush and clean it after every use 4) Clean the tip of your airbrush every 30-60 sec. Either with fingers or wet brush. 5) Between paints run water through your airbrush. 6) Paint consistency needs to be that of heavy cream (for us Americans) Hope that helps. Also quality airbrush and compressor are always a must. Sorry but you get what you pay for.
  9. Depends. I charge based on the painting level wanted (golden demon vs tabletop vs 3 colors), my skill set, and yes it does depend on the scale of the model (vehicle vs troop vs special character). Every painter has their own pricing in their head.
  10. From my point of view this is expensive to the store and takes people/peoples to run them. It would be cool and fun to do but I think resources are lacking....
  11. I like the SDK system. The new Adepticon Rules came out for 2016 and is using the SDK system (1800 pts). Listen to a CanHammer podcast in which Alex was talking about why they are using the SDK rules and how he sees AOS as a working system. Have to say I am sold.
  12. I would be interested however can we do a Tuesday or Thursday?
  13. I have a bunch of extra bits from a commission I did for Bolt Action Americans and Germans. Mostly heads, gear, guns, arms. No bases or legs/torsos. If this is something you need make an offer for them.
  14. Have you tried Nexus games in Gresham? They have a LARGE selection of Infinity....
  15. Really it is b/c most of the players polled play all day Wednesday anyway and cant play on weekends.

  17. For those stuck at work....what was he playing and what/whom did he play against?
  18. Sounds fun. Like a Presidents Cup of 40K? I like the reduced points and the format.
  19. I have tried the # of wounds method. I have tried the just eyeball the number of models. Most of the time it works out just fine depending on the mission and game type. The nice thing about AOS is that the games dont last a long time so you can replay the game with different models and test out different things. In my opinion it works out as a beer and warhammer kind of a casual game. I have not touched my 40K since I have started to play. HA!
