andozane
This sucks...I really enjoyed this partnership This is the first negative thing I've seen from GW in months, where as in so many areas they seem to be making some great decisions about getting more involved with the player base... JMGraham
Looks like, as of Feb 2017, FFG will no longer be selling Warhammer games. Get your Chaos in the Old World and the like while the getting's good! https://boardgamegeek.com/blogpost/57558/fantasy-flight-games-and-games-workshop-parting-wa

InfestedKerrigan
I'm glad I didn't get more heavily into Conquest. Although, now I feel I need to get all the expansions so I have the complete game.
Brother Glacius
Not only that, but licensing really saved their bacon this year. Why would they terminate that?
deadwing34
The only other company that could do their board games justice is Cool Mini or maybe they are going to do it all internally from now on.
andozane
Merged the two threads together...kept Jim's title :)
KIRBY
This is a bummer. I guess I best stock up on some stuff before it is officially out of print.
scottshoemaker
FF was more successful with GW IP than GW was with GW IP, that's my theory.
Brother Glacius
Well, and GW is moving more into the board game area. Those FFG Talisman packs are freaking expensive.
JMGraham
I wonder how much it has to do with Asmodee picking up FFG.
shmitty
I think it has to do with relative sales figures. When the agreement started GW likely outsold FFG. My understanding would be that has now switched. GW probably doesn't want to license their properties to a company that is far outselling them. Because it sucks when anything about your IP is successful. I just have to wonder how it is that GW can have such a wonderful IP and can be such idiots about getting it to market that I don't want to have anything to do with it anymore. <sigh>

Dagna
I thought it was because FFG announced their new rank and file miniatures game set in their fantasy setting. It looks pretty cool. If only those models were coming prepainted like the X-wing models... :(

andozane
Runewars There was a thread about it somewhere. See https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/runewars-miniatures-game-showcase/ Yep, I started the thread...and posed a question that probably ties right into this break up :) http://www.ordofanaticus.com/index.php?/topic/28682-fantasy-flight-games-announces-runewars-miniatures-game/
andozane
So, this is an interesting addendum to the break up... http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2016/10/ffg-co-publishes-mutant-chronicles-siege-of-the-citadel.html FFG will be bringing Mutant Chronicles around... Probably a much cheaper license to use than 40K.
