I have been playing it when I should be doing homework. Lots of new toys, encounters, new layout for most ships plus a whole new ship.... couple cool new features like being able to save your crew's default location and then click a button to send them all back to their posts. Manning sensors and doors now makes them more effective (basically an upgrade level)... Lots of other cool stuff I can't think of right now.

I'd be down with this ONLY if they they also added two more "minor" armies in with them... so none of them got the attention they deserved.

I'd like to see a regular army book for them myself, but I highly doubt that would happen anytime soon.

Um... the Chaos Dwarfs are "back". While not a mainstream army, the list is official. There are actually a pile of army books they could do (Araby, Cathay, etc) much of which out be humans, but they could add piles of new toys in with them. There are also a lot of things they could resurect from the old army books... but that is another story... Pygmies!!!

I am hoping not to see Brets or wood elves next. I'd rather see a brand new army hit the fantasy scene! Maybe some Pygmies or an intelligent race of beaver paladins who insist that large teeth are a sign of divinity.

Spacehulk is also a really good port to video game. It does make a terrible video game... but it is a great "Boardgame on a computer"

This is clearly a case of Rules as intended vs rules as written.

The Anvil of Doom is a War machine. So you might need to alter that.

It seems to me, like we got out of our thinking box, and have gotten into a smaller box with less elbow room... and now we are thinking in that box, and our primary thought is "Why did I get in this smaller box? This Stinks.".

I might be wrong, but with Max points in Runes this build is about the most expensive you can go (other than replacing the GW for a xbow/handgun but that doesn't get you anywhere in effectiveness. Also, I would totally put thanes on shields, all day long, every day... but that is cheating as they do not have that option. Sure, why not. I was focusing on the Dwarf Lord, but who cares, really it's just about having fun with builds. This is basically the discount version, which is both awesome and field-able (and what I have been going for in my builds). Now RD, step it up an notch, spend that extra rune allowance and show us something completely badass! (Not necessarily what your put on the table here, just showing off builds!)

So I have been looking at Dwarf lord builds and just wondering how crazy you can get. So everyone, build the biggest badest dwarf lord you can with the new book and post him here for all to see! Here is my go: Dwarf Lord 145 Sheildbearers 40 Great Weapon, Pistol, Shield 15 Rune of Warding x3 (4+ Ward) 45 Rune of Fortitude (+1`T) 35 Rune of Iron x2 (+1 W, +1 T) 45 325 points total
