  1. We here in the Gem State are pleased to announce the formation of the Boise Cup GT - Hosted by ABU Games, Boise's grandest game store. Location: ABU Games: ABUGames 7211 W Colonial St Boise, Idaho 83709 Date: June 24-25 Rounds: 5 Points: TBA Cap: 40 Players Cost: $45 - goes to prize support. We are very excited to bring this event smack dab in between Storm of Silence in the end of May and BAO in the end of July. A great three month triumverate of gaming goodness. Make your plans and head on over to the Gem State. We will be having trophies for Best General, Best Sportsman, Best Paint, and Best Overall. There will also be trophies for top ITC faction armies as well.We will have 20 tables, each with a FAT Mat and are working on having top notch terrain! We hope you will join me - Captain A and Matty J - as we host this event alongside ABU Games. We will be playing in their basketball court so we will have tons of space.
  2. You essentially have a tournament list here. One I have ran or seen ran at major events. Just a thought.
  3. I vote Pretre too! I don't do commissions very much...
  4. Fun? There is no fun. There is only crushing your enemy, seeing them driven before you, and hearing the lamentation of their women.....
  5. Love a 3 round RTT for ITC.
  6. You will make so much more money parting it out and selling it unit per unit. It is much more time consuming, and you may not be able to sell some things for some time, but it is the way to go if making money is your aim. If your aim is getting rid of models. Do a lot. PM me with a list and I can get you a quote for what I'd pay for them.
  7. I believe they are still planning a LRC.
  8. Having been on the back end of things and a Captain here is my take. One thing to remember is that this event has to make money for the OFCC or at least be able to not bury the club. I don't know particulars, but I would assume that they are one major flop away from either club destruction or someone having to pony up thousands of dollars. An event like this takes thousands of dollars, especially at a hotel, and they are assuming a ton of risk. This is why many things happen for the OFCC. They are looking for a way to grow the event and reduce the barrier of entry to make the event better and healthier as as a whole. Right now, 40k is the flagship event, so it needs to succeed for the OFCC to continue to operate as an event as a whole. It isn't a pretty statement, but I see it to be true. Look more at this as OFCC trying to secure the future of OFCC and not to beat them up (too much) about changing things.
  9. Oh that crystal kastle stuff? let me know and I'll see what I can do.
  10. First off - I hate you! Suck it Karl! Second off, Still hate you! I would say I'm am very impressed by the freehand, conversions, and overall presentation. I think the thing that brings this army down though is the overall color scheme. It is too dark. I heard about Bob Kelly talking about painting and there is a reason why GW and other top painters have their armies the colors they do, the brighter colors pop to the eye and stand out in a field of armies. I brighter contrasting color (maybe a brighter red) would have gone further to make things pop and stand out. Perhaps a different color for the freehand as the gray on gray gets lost in a distance. I think this concept was why that sisters army beat israel at LVO last year. While aspects were dark, the freehand, dioramas and what not were very bright and stood out. Also, I hate you. Love and kisses, Aaron

  12. We are the Ratsurrection. We hunt for the cheese. Prophecies generations ago foretold of the cheese that we would find in our prey. We hunt for the cheese. We ask, "Do you have the Cheese?" We open you and see if it is within you...likely not, but we hunger for it nonetheless.
  13. My Genestealer cult has always wanted to eat babies...looking for the cheese, it might be in there. Go cherubs...
  14. You score tactical objective points as normal, ie at the end of each player turn. Then compare the totals at the end of the game turn. Not to be persnickity, but I could see someone reading your post that you only see to score at the end of the game turn. Its player turn. I don't know that fulfilling an objective would be scored out of player turn.
  15. Deadlines for ITC Scoring: Jan 30th to submit tournament results, Feb 1st to ask for a personal or team score correction!
  16. It could be an issue for those "kill x" mission cards. But since there are more "Hold x" cards it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
  17. I was looking for an "Always let your conscience be your guide." Gif, but this was funnier.
  18. But it sounds like to me he did get a good experience. He "Couldn't put it down." The books purpose is to be read. He read it. It is now used. Sell it to their used branch.
  19. Ready Player One - Just finished it and if you grew up on 80's stuff, so good!
  20. There were like 3 30k players at the OFCC last year.
