  1. I think the best integration of app and game I've seen is the virtual gamemaster for the Werewolf/Villager games. It does a good job of freeing up one player from having to run the game -- though it does a poor job of noticing when some scoundrel is peeking.
  2. I did not, but clearly I should have. I do like the art style in Dusk City Outlaws though...
  3. You still can. Stretch goals, man!
  4. I've been waiting for this one... basically a fantasy RPG version of Leverage, or Lies of Locke Lamora, written by the guy who created the Lords of Waterdeep boardgame. Insta-backed it: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/481478805/dusk-city-outlaws
  5. Talking about Hellblazer ended up with me re-reading Planetary. If you're a comics fan, and you haven't read it, do yourself a favor and put it on your list.
  6. Hellblazer is my favorite long-run comic. Good choice :-)
  7. I finally got around to reading Declare, by Tim Powers: ★★★★★ I'm a big Tim Powers fan... I think I've read all his stuff now. Declare ranks near the top, up there with Last Call and Anubis Gates. It's a mix of Powers' usual secret history stuff with a WW2 and Cold War spy thriller. Good stuff.
  8. Saw that, and was jealous of the experience. It must have been really cool to be there for it.
  9. I kid. It was fine, just not really to my tastes (prefer a dryer cider). It did not go undrunk :-)
  10. I think it is fun. Also, D's Wicked Baked Apple cider is gross. That is all.
  11. Batman v. Superman. I almost stopped watching at the 40 minute mark, and I wish I had. Man, what a dog. I'm a lot less enthusiastic for the Wonder Woman movie now.
  12. Stumptown Guatemala Bella Vista from my french press. Friggin' awesome 10/10 -- maybe be the best coffee I've ever made.
  13. After boring email/messaging/calendar, top three are podcast app, RSS reader, grocery list app
  14. I had a Peet's latte this morning. I give it a solid 'Meh'. Better than Starbucks, not even close to River Maiden.
  15. I love Bandette -- totally fun. Also, Rat Queens -- more total fun. I'm so tired of grim and gritty melodrama.
  16. I'm on a King in Yellow kick, looking forward to Robin Laws' upcoming game so am reading Cassilda's Song right now. Chambers' style of horror is much more personal than Lovecraft...

  18. I backed this in ~15 seconds: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/antsylabs/fidget-cube-a-vinyl-desk-toy
  19. Guardian Games also has a selection.
  20. Ordo to the rescue! I got a PM from Mr. Bigglesworth, who had a bookshelf he no longer needed. Now I have a bookshelf, and he's got a bookshelf-sized empty space and some scratch.
  21. This years' HP Lovecraft Film Festival is running a Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hplffpdx/cthulhu-and-shanghai-tunnels-21st-hp-lovecraft-fil
