I've got a few units of Skitarii Rangers/Vanguard to do, and they look small and fiddly enough to maybe be worth painting on the sprue. I've never done this before, any thoughts or advice?

I figured something like that when it was mentioned that Rand Corp owns the hospital and that Misty would be taken care of. Or maybe Melvin can put an awesome buzzsaw on it. Either one would be fine, really.

The Defenders. I liked it. The pacing was fine, the action choreography was pretty good and the chemistry worked. Can't help but wonder about what happened to Misty. 8/10

I'm with you, Ish. I deeply respect history and linguistics (Not sure if this is meaningful to you, but Ars Magica is my favorite game ever). I'm just really frikken' easy to annoy.

I picked up the 3-model minibox for S&Gs... just wanted to see the bigger marine models in person. I was surprised to see that they're keyworded "Adeptus Astartes" and "Ultramarines" but not "<CHAPTER>". I imagine this is fluff-driven, right? Also, the "Reivers" spelling is going to drive me nuts.

That's interesting. I'd expect some deviation but that's a 25% difference which is no joke. Were both those lists in the same faction? I wonder how GW calculated the Power Levels...

I expect most of my games will be friendly, fun play so will use Power Levels. I also expect that any competitive play I do will use points.

A bit of warning: I bought the iBooks enhanced edition of the Index Xenos 2, thinking it'd be pretty-much a straight digital implementation of the physical book, but with maybe a couple of 360-degree model photos or somesuch. Unfortunately, GW went all-in on the capabilities of the medium, and instead of presenting each unit's weapons & capabilities as simple stat-blocks (like they did in the physical book) they put all the crunchy bits in as cascading hot links -- so instead of just glancing at a unit's page for specific details during play, you have to click through one or more links. Super aggravating.
