Welcome back. Yes Ordo is still rocking and rolling 40k. We have both competitive and non-competitive players. Just post up in the Game Night thread before Tuesday night to get a game in. As far as painting goes, you could use Army Painter primer as a base if you don't have an airbrush. Wash the mini and then drybrush your highlights. After that, just pick out your details and boom; army finished. Tuesday nights and Sunday nights will be your best bets to getting a 40k game. Welcome back.

The clubhouse could always use more. To fill in the blanks of the library there. Just a thought.

I still play this way. In all of my armies, I only run 1 formation. The Baal strike force. Other than that, regular CAD all the way. And I agree with Eben about the flyers counts as skimmers thing. That was cool when it was the mechanic for them. I am always down to play old skool hammer. Anyone who wants a game against regular old armies; hit me up. (Joking) But in all seriousness, yes I know I can run them out of the Guard book. I know...... I knoooooooooooow! But. I WANT to play them out of the Forgeworld book. Because I don't care about maximizing things. And I want to play my FW Lightning strike fighter. And have Thunderers as troops choices. And Commissar Tanks! And nifty stuff nobody else has.
