  1. Yup, in order to target a character, it has to be the closest model. Only thing that gets around that is the sniper rule.
  2. These are kinda meh... Let's hope the god specific stratgems/traits/relics have some gems.
  3. Yes! Yes!! Yes!!! I so need more Papa Nurgle in my life! Here is to hoping both GuO's and Rotigus or at least Rotigus is T9. Regardless I feel I should own two or three of these.
  4. In anything sort of a super casual or narrative game, no. If you want droppods use the FW character that allows for three infantry units and him to deepstike at just under 200 points. Not only do you get the same effect but you get a reroll misses aura and a decent character.
  5. I may be there depending on how things at Rune & Board or GG.
  6. Oh... I read that as speak to a guy and he'll give you a deal on reserving a table, not speak to a guy a get the league discount on models. Sweet!
  7. Wait... I have to pay to play at Guardian Games?
  8. So I'm going to be in Portland this weekend and possibly part of the following week. Where can I be able to get some games in? Can I just go to the Ordo Clubhouse?
  9. Really depends on the quality of the conversion. If it looks awesome then yea have at it. If it look like you put no effort into it, then no.
  10. Yes? I suppose you can do this. But why?
  11. "So hey guys! You know all those cool centerpiece models you have for you armies that are pointed appropriately (Fellblade, mastadon, warhound, various other hq's n' such)? Or maybe need a slight points increase (bigbird, all the other greater demons, a few others)? Yea, we're going to bump all of that by at least 30%. And for fun we're going to just double the points on some things, cause screw you." "Oh... And those things that needed a decent nerf (Rowboat, Cawl), yea no. They're fine." "Oh, frak conscripts, let's nerf em again" Signed - GW
  12. Yes, yes, no and why would you shoot your own vehicle?
  13. While you can do it cheaper, a brigade of IG cost just a tad under 1k. And that's with a huge amount of mortar teams, sentinels and dudes. Definitely has other purposes.
  14. What is 35+ PL that's not forge world?
  15. This still doesn't allow for it in organized play... It's just a official way to may your own badass landraider. Which I like by the way! It's cool. My head is already thinking about quad hurricane bolters n such. But did chapter approved need to cost $5 more because of it? Ehh... No. Super heavies always ("always" being since I started in 4th) had set rules with wargear and such. And no one ever asked if they could play or minded playing against them.
  16. Since this is for open play and not matched, isn't this something we could have already done? I mean if I just wanna put 5 heavy bolters on a land raider, I can just ask my opponent if they are ok with it and house rule it, right?
  17. Since 99% if "deepstrikes" are at the end if movement, probably should make your decision based on that.
  18. If it could carry primaris marines though, it might be worth it.
  19. Drones flamer is indeed based off strength. Yea if they don't stack then I don't want the heralds I think. Either havocs if I expect alot of t8/3+ or drones for infantry. Or Lords for if I don't know what they are bringing.
  20. Yea I think I would rather have the main gun on a Sicaran. That way it looks better and is actually playable.
  21. Waaaait a minute... I feel like I should know this but do the heralds aura's stack? Cause screw helping the princes, they are good enough on their own. But a squad of three foetid blight drones with 3x 2d6 s8 flamers seems amazing! And yes you can come up with a bunch of ways to make lords seem bad. But those are corner case things. In fact I've yet to see a vehicle explode. And why would snipers target my Lords when they can target princes?
  22. Yes I know exactly how many points Lords are, I just wasn't sure if I was allowed to post exact points costs. Also cause I know the points of one, I also know the points of 5. While I really like heralds, I don't think I need them. In a more casual list I will absolutely run heralds. But here, they can't keep up with the princes and I really don't need +1s from them. One of the slaneesh princes, with intoxicating elixir and diabolic strength, makes for s10 and 9 attacks. That combined with all the smites allows me to take down hard targets. Yes, I realize they do not become actual demon princes. While not technically correct, it gets the summary of what the model does down pretty well. Your missing the point of them. They are dirt cheap, so who cares what happens to them. They are smite batteries that hid behind cultist. Is one smite a big deal? No... But 5 smites become a big deal. "But you have to target the closet model!!!" So? Take 10 wounds, no saves. And most people can move their models well enough to get what they want to be the closest model to be exactly that. But if they perils they take D3 wounds! Again so? They can't die from it (remember they should be hiding in a cultist bunker), so throw your newly promoted Lord into the thick of combat. Who cares if he dies. He cost 30 points... All that being said, I'm inclined to go with you on this and find something different. Against different things I think the Lord works great, but in my meta I think I want havocs, drones or heralds.
  23. Pretty sure you can reroll misses n such.
