Sammy
Do you not have a problem with air bubbles in your rivets? It's a constant battle for me, but I'm not using any pressure equipment.
scottshoemaker
After you spray in mold release and let it dry powder the mold with baby powder. This helps eliminate surface tension and lets the bubbles separate from the edge. If you are using platinum silicone you can skip the release agent. The battlewagon is getting a hotrod cab that will double as an Opel Blitz Trukk cab for German themed orks. Conversion twofer!

scottshoemaker
Needs more rivets ;) Patience, patience. You just have to wait for the rivet schedule... Next up are some shooty wagons. Something like this: And this with a liftadroppa: In between I need a unit of nobz, and painting the whole lot of them. Most likely I'll get 3 colors on the boyz and spend more time on the characters and the vehicles.

scottshoemaker
I think it's the dude's 3d Art portfolio. Maybe I should make a master hull for casting? Or I can add it to your laundry list...
Burk
I need a landraider equivalent and that is perfect. I will take scratchbuilt, but am impatient when it comes to models.
Brother Glacius
Is there anything you can do about the inside of the wheels? That is the only piece that sticks out to me.
scottshoemaker
I could go for a more complicated two piece mold, guaranteed to cause more frustration than its worth. Or I can paint them black, and fake it. A big thumbs up to whoever can guess what I'll be doing.
Sammy
I bet a 2 piece mold would be ok with your wheels, and only slightly more work and frustration. But it's not needed in my opinion.
fluger
Agree that it's not needed, but what about a second mold that is very thing that could be glued on? Or is that what a two piece mold is?
Sammy
No a 2 piece mold refers to two pieces of the mold itself (for example, it clamshells together), what you're describing is a facade.
scottshoemaker
I would, but I'm lazy.
