MexicanNinja
I am digging the new shields. They are fantastic. I am getting very excited about this release. The models, as a whole, look much better than the current ones. This should be a great release. I'm hoping for a good book. I'm already thinking about the next escalation. I have two armies in mind, dwarfs being one of them.
Gunnerson
So the engineer upgrade is not an option for the Flame Cannon or for the Organ Gun nor are runes that increase ballistic skill. I could see the OG becoming like the Iron Demon where you roll 2 dice and keep the roll of your choice thus it only misfires on a double misfire result. This is fluffy and keeping with the "improved" dwarfish design.
MexicanNinja
Right, as of right now, there is no engineer upgrade for the organ. You would very rarely misfire. If they add it as option, in the upcomming book, then I would be ok with rolling to hit.
bkieft
I am really digging the designs of the helmets

Munkie
I do like the new minis Im just a tad concerned with how they will fit with my existing force. Models too sexy to fit in is a fantastic problem to have!
Gunnerson
nahh having to get all new units means shelling out $$. Ive got 2 kids,a wife, a house 2 dogs and a cat to feed, heat and keep clothed.I can handle a few bucks here and there but Im no longer a single kid with no responsibility. Munkie
Not in the same situation but I certainly don't have the expendable cash that I used to. My full and mostly painted dwarf army won't change much, but I'm definitely excited to have a box or two of those stout little bastards giving my front ranks some "wow". Honestly, I think they'll mix in pretty well. They look proportionally the same (still have gorrilla hands), the only real change looks like they've got 200% more detail than the previous versions. So I think they'll fit fine and just stand out as the elite unit of the army.
Gunnerson
I dont mind a couple of new purchases and then what ever the "new" goodness is but doing a whole army all over just to have more of the same units wont fly.
Munkie
Dwarves were never meant to fly anyway. Feet firmly on the ground, or preferably, under it.
mojoslayer
I go for the one a month approach. Buy one kit a month, and a character now and then, and by the end of the year you have a pretty good force.

Gunnerson
Ahhh I loaded in through the UK and its not up now. When I first tried to log on to the US GW site it partly loaded the new WD cover then froze and then redirected me to a "site under maintenance" error. Iraf
So... I don't see the Dwarf book on the pre-release page. I'm guessing the book itself comes out later in February?
Iraf
Rumor mill on Warseer is the book not coming out until the 3rd wave. That being February 22nd.
dkieft
So are they releasing in order of lameness? Oh some new troops and characters on the first wave, second cooler models and thrid, the stuff that people will actually head out and buy?
Iraf
Since I wouldn't buy anything until the book came out anyways, to make sure that the troops don't suck with the new rules, I think it's a really poor marketing choice.
dkieft
Or maybe an excellent marketing decision if the troops are completely terrible... no one will buy them after seeing the rules!
