lustriangod2
I am putting my lizardmen on the shelf for a bit. I am going forward with an army that I have owned for 9 years. I am finally putting together my Skaven. I will be trying to post progress and ask for advise from all you great generals and crafty hobbiests. I have some really great ideas and this will be my OFCC army.
Talapas
Sounds cool. Can't wait to see how it turns out
Norrad
Two thoughts come to mind... First, the Skaven have a cool look and story line. Build a fun to look at and fun to play list. Unbeknownst to most Skaven players, 'douche-bagery' is not required. Second, less cork!
Sylvos
If you can make a skaven army themed like a broadway musical that would be tits. think about it man. Rats (that's a play upon words for Cats) get it? lol Ok seriously however, have you thought about doing a conversion of an entire army of shaved rats? Think about it. Shaved. Rats. Shaved bro. Just shaved. It's like purple studded biker jackets with rainbows and razorblades.
WarlordGhrom
Well not sure what to post after that Sylvos post. Damn I want some of what he is smoking. As for Skaven, GO FOR IT!!!! I love my Skaven army and you can have a blast with it. The pain though is painting 300 minis..

lustriangod2
I have a few themes that I want to go with. So I will need to make a decision. I do own 2 doom wheels, a bell, a plague furnace, 2 hell pits, a ton of rats and 60 storm vermin, I also got all the new Skaven kits from End times. valourunbound
You probably don't need to buy anything else... Assuming that plague monks and gutter runners are included in "a ton of rats". And that you can convert some badass Skaven characters.

I have been known to do a few from time to time.

lustriangod2
How the hell could I pull that off? The Secret of Nihm is one of the coolest movies ever. I would be so afraid to not do it justice. Also, could it even be done?
Fixxer
That movie is the reason I play Skaven, I'd think that's true for many.
WarlordGhrom
That movie is the reason I play Skaven, I'd think that's true for many. I play Skaven because they are the &*$%ing the best! That and they are so cutthroat they make US CEOs seem like Bretonnian knights. PS - I do love Secret of Nimh, but it isn't my reason for doing them ;)
Fixxer
Lets see some lists, Im anxious to see what route you are going...
Kremmet
How the hell could I pull that off? The Secret of Nihm is one of the coolest movies ever. I would be so afraid to not do it justice. Also, could it even be done? Grey Seer done up as Nicodemus with Brisby, Justin, and Jenner as various other characters (warlords and chiefs I'd think). Both Jeremy and the Great Owl would make great aboms while the thresher as a Doomwheel. You also have Nicodemus' weird portal generator as a neat Bell/Furnace/WLC. Totally a doable force!
lustriangod2
Anyways, I have been getting all my clan rats together, looks like I am going to have about 250 strong. So what I am also doing is getting a bunch of warlord conversions and rat ogre conversions worked on. I will be posting pics and post the list I am working on to complete. generalripphook
Have rat ogres be just a pile of clan rats on top of each other in a big coat
lustriangod2
So I have just finished up putting together roughly 300 clan rats together, I am finishing putting together my 60 stormvermin. After that comes my storm fiends, 6 of them. Along with my converted rat ogres. I will start posting pics up soon, I have been very busy as of late. But I will keep posting my progress on this army. I will also start putting up my lists as I start figuring out what I exactly will be bringing to OFCC this year. Stay tuned.
indytims
Nice work-work, lustriangod2! Looking forward to seeing pics, yes! 300 clan rats, squeeee! That's a lot of kill-kill! When I got into WHFB, I played Dark Elves for many, many years. I loved the Skaven background, but hated the models. That was fixed, of course, with the new and improved ones starting a few years ago. Superb stuff, awesomeness all the way around so I could no longer resist. I had to buy-buy them all, sacrificing great heaps of warp-stone coins to do so. They are so fun-fun to play!!!
lustriangod2
Now that Wrath is out of the way, back onto working on my Skaven. I am going to build my 6 storm fiends. And convert the heck out of my rat ogres. Hopefully some pics will be coming soon.
Raindog
I can wait to see what Lustriangod2 can do with rats. He has amazing Ogres and Chaos. His conversions are top notch and rats are highly convertible. I must say after Wrath and Brawl, Lustrian is rising power on the local scene. Congrats, Mike
